at least until SRMs are fixed. I'd imagine quad SRM4 could potentially be deadly, but not until SRMs are worth a damn again.

Nope.

You cannot put artemis on this mech, and use 4 missile launchers.

Without artemis, SRM4's are pointless.

this jenner hero mech is a joke. i would expect a jenner "hero" mech to have more jumpjets.. but noooo.. whoever thought of this must either really hate jenners or dont know how to drive one.

Well, when it comes to running Jenners, it seems like you might as well run JJs or go run a different Mech. Once you decide to lose the JJs, the other Mechs in the game have their own unique advantages. What this JJ-less Jenner gives is Jenner Pilots a chance to use a Mech without Jump Jets and not really be missing out on lost potential. The removal of Jump Jets was undoubtedly a move to prevent this Mech from just mounting BAP, chasing every other Light down and using 4 Streaks on them. Mechs with JJ's are able to escape Lights w/o JJs. The fact that this Mech loses jumpjets is coupled with a unique hardpoint payout that makes it an excellent Light-killer (as the Jenner is traditionally good at, since it's not loaded with electronics for scouting) but not so excellent that it has *both*great anti-light firepower AND supreme agility.

If they made a Hero Jenner with 4 missile hardpoints AND jumpjets (and the fact that you can always add BAP to cut through ECM), then it would draw great criticism as an overly-powerful Light Mech.

All this "hero" jenner does, is confirm that they will never balance SSRMs and that they will stay as-is, for the foreseeable future. :)

It is still my opinion that streaks are fine and the damage is balanced by the hit pattern spread and the relatively short range and slow projectile speed. For the record, I do not currently have streaks on any of my mechs, but I do fight against streak mechs often.

Ah if only that... Infamous bug with certain places of Cicada CTR transferring damage to front CT IS STILL F***N HERE!!! It's been here since Cicada was introduced and nothing was done about it...

So from the looks of it, when they finally get around to making a Hero Spider, it's just going to have one leg when it enters the battle? They gimp the acceleration, then take away the jump jets? Put the Nerf bat down and step away from the Jenner.

All the other Hero mechs that I've seen are unique and have a special ability that make them viable on the battle field, even the Knell is extremely fast for its ability. The Oxide is a gimp... not worth its Hero status. My opinion.

Pretty sure Russ in his tweet is also very excited for the 17th patch mostly due to the Wolverine and Griffin coming out for Sabre buyers as well as the new map. I don't read into them as much as some people.

I think Russ just tries to keep seeming excited in <140 characters because he hopes it might rub off onto the customer base.

What I really wonder, is why they didn't just start the "Oxide" out with 4xSSRM2's? That is how it's going to be configured 99.99999% of the time, so they may as well simplify it for their "target demographic".

Feels like moving the Spawn Points is meant to hold us over for a while till some real content is released. Looking forward to HPG Manifold though.

cool (mostly). That might be the most worthless Hero since the GooberBoy, though. Generally not one to hate and rag, but whoever thought this one up needs therapy.
