Just found this and it's got my attention in a pretty big way for both complex game control and creative software control...

Calvin Chu, the guy heading the project/kickstarter, is on the Star Citizen forums answering questions in a thread in the hardware section there.

Combined with Durkan's LED cockpit lighting thing would be pretty neat, although most people agree this is a hefty price to pay for a few switches and pots...

I commend the project though and hope they meet their goals and have more offerings in the future. I am going to start asking them about what kind of software support it will have though, cause that's what makes or break these kind of things and MWO is a perfect example of underbaked controls leading to all kinds of support issues for anyone (that doesn't use kbm) not using comprehensive 3rd party software like TARGET or UJR or CH Control Manager, etc.

If it does not have *extensive axis manipulation, emulation, virtual events, macros, and a host of other features it really will amount to little more than overpriced switches in neato boxes, but if they come up with software that can hub together external controls as well (joys, pedals, mice, etc) and merge them into a single controller in addition to allowing flexibility on par with above mentioned software with low internal resource use, it's made of gold and well worth the money.

*deadzones, curves, trims, offsets, relative/absolute, emulation, axis merging, axis dividing, etc

Sexy. Want one.

FYI, there is another solution to do the same thing, just it doesn't come in fancy block form.

It is, however, much cheaper and can be used with a wider variety of sensors.
