I´m feeling sorry for the Jenner because NO Jenner and no Jennerpilot deserves such a bad config like this one. Even the Champion comes with an XL engine and DHS. this one got an STD Engine 235? Ridiculous!!! This is the baddest HeroMech PGI ever build and not worth a single penny.

See how most games are PUGs... Good luck when 4 Man pre-made decide to run around in these things.
In fact...
I would say the optimal setups would probably be 1 ECM Spider + 3 Steak J-0 (SSRM60).
LOL... Isolated 1--4 light medium groups would be toast. Isolated 1-2 Heavy/Assault group would probably be in real trouble too.

I bought it. Reasons I bought it:
a) It's a light Mech
b. it's Jenner
c) it's Hero Jenner
d) I have MCs on account to buy it (left from days when I actually cared)
If it's anything else I would pass for sure. Hell, I don't even play this game any more, just lurk from time to time on patch day to see is there anything worth in it. If I haven't had the MCs on account I would pass no matter Jenner or not.
Therefore, dear PGI: This Jenner is not worth the MCs you ask for. In fact, if it's free it would still be insult to Hero line. You haven't done the job right.
Also, since this hero light came, we won't see another for a while now. So, light hero "waypoint" spent on a mediocre Mech. Nice move.
To sum it up, I don't really care you fire and miss anymore, in anything regarding this game. The fact that I don't care makes me sad...
P.S.
By the way, When I asked in Ask The Devs 50 "Roughly when can we expect to see next Hero light Mech ?" I got answer: "Spring."
Go figure.

Right mouse- chain fire 4xSSRM2
At high speeds their aim is going to suffer a bit if you're chainfiring streaks into them.

This is so hard, as I would have loved to have it in my collection for keepsake.

If you'll notice though, Juxstapo, right before that post I said that the Oxide was pretty beastly. It's clearly not the best Jenner in the game, but no Hero is the best 'Mech in its chassis.
Seriously, to the people who haven't run the 'Mech but are bashing it, it's really pretty good. It may not be able to dethrone the Jenner-F, but it has obsoleted Kintaro and Shadowhawk streak boat light-killers.

The Champion Jenner is identical to the -F variant, save the XP bonus.... Although you are right, the -F variant is possibly the best one.
You have my vote juxtapo - if this variant had JJ's I'd likely buy it. As it is... not a chance.

I didn't complain about earlier release of hero Mech, I just wanted to point out mediocre communication from PGI. I guess telling something in public Q&A and then do something totally opposite is OK with you.
It seems that some people really will complain about anything just for complaining sake...

Not a Jenner fan but had to buy Sarah's and after that got two more on a "what the heck" basis.
This has some potential I can see that though I am still holding my sides in laughter at its ability to mount 10+5 Tubes in a location you cant FIT and combo that requires more than 10 (total) into.. That smacked of shoddy hurried design to me, though if a better mech designer could explain it I'd love to retract this statement.
So for now I'll take the challenge of my 3 streak Locust over the expense of this hound. At least there I have an ML to fall back on when the ammo is gone

That is an interesting point. I do feel that the class structure in this game is kind of wacky. So, by offering variants of lights that are good light hunters it keeps mediums from having to do the work. IMO mediums make better heavy hunters anyway.

Then they'll realise to their horror later on that the other team can also have Oxides and they might just be better pilots than they are. Pwned.
And every other light weeps in the meantime.

Incorrect. Misery is best Stalker, possibly best assault in game besides Highlander. Illya Muromets has been best heavy mech several times in past depending on the state of UACs.
Make no mistake this Hero Jenner is flat out P2W in light vs. light warfare. Because streaks remain broken in light vs. light gameplay, this Jenner is boderline broken as well. With JJs it would just be even more absurdly overpowered.
You just get out your credit card and you don't even have to aim in this thing, it does the killing work for you while you careen around ramming into terrain and mech's crotches. It will be the perfect mech for LRM boat assault pilots forced to downgrade once in a while due to tonnage limits.
Frankly this mech is the nail in the coffin for MWO as far as I'm concerned as a light pilot.
