My question is, will I lose some FPS on dx11?
CPU: Intel Celeron G530 dual core 2,4GHz
GPU: nVidia GTX560 1GB
RAM: 4GB 1333MHz(!?)
Screen:AOC 1920x1080
Other arent really important
Currently I'm running on 1440x900 on 25-40 FPS with all low, i cant play below because something isblocking and have constant crashes, on high res I have okay FPS (25-35) but I can crash anywhere so zhis resolution is only option which is very weird because my CPU is very weak for this game. PGI really should optimize game for dual core, we want to play normally also.

My system has a 680GTX and a Sandy Bridge I5 @3.2 GHZ with 8GB RAM. I tried the DX11 test and lost about 2FPS, although the FPS was much more stable overall, especially in large battles.

Oh dang, well maybe will lower resolutions be stable.
Btw if there would be any dx11 test soon, I could try it out.

They've finished testing it: The next time you have access to it, it will be permanently available.

Odds are you will lose some fps, but I'd suggest not worrying about it, and test the eva' livin' daylights out of it when it shows up. For all we know, DX11 will, for example, make particals on medium playable for many more then can use them now …

In all fairness, you don't really SEE all that many systems anymore that run dual cores. . unless you're talking ultrabooks or Wal Mart El Cheapo's. Even the $500-$600 range seems to come standard with i5s today, and this has been a trend for several years.

As such, it's probably easier for the Developers to cater to the MAJORITY of their user base, IE those who have computers that are less than 2-3 years old.

THAT SAID:

TBH, I don't see why this game COULDN'T run on an older dual core setup if they'd just take a session and optimize the code. . but it's such a completely unoptimized mess that even people running TOP END EQUIPMENT have performance issues here and there.

It's not even about the cores at this point, the client is just a complete mess.

I have less room to complain than most, but it's amazing watching how well my rig performs on everything else, and then becomes "above average" the instant I launch the MwO client.

Shouldnt the performance actually improve if you have a weaker cpu (like the OP has), coupled with a more capable GPU (which the OP also has), as DX11 shovels more data towards the GPU than DX9 does?

So if those claims are valid, OP SHOULD see a slight improvement in performance, rather than a performance hit. IF the environment for this actually is properly coded of course.

I'm kinda wondering what it would be like myself:
CPU: AMD FX-4100 @ 4.4GHz
GPU: nVidia GTX560TI 2GB
RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz (Rated for 1600MHz/1.6GHz)
Monitor: HP Pavilion mx70 (1280x1080 @60 Hz)
OS: Windows 8.1 Preview
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB

Averaging 30-40FPS on Very High as is with DX9, I think I got Motion blur off and everything maxed with damage glow and V-Sync on.
