Ok so MWO is now officially released, and has been for some time, and still no local servers?

Here's the reality for Australian players:

The closest I could find to Montreal Canada (and this does reflect my in game ping accurately):

Sydney Australia:

Last time I checked the money I have paid is just as good in PGI's pocket as US or Canadian money. How about we get to play the game we paid for properly just like the North American customers please.

I would say when Community Warfare and Clan Warfare comes and then the playerbase skyrockets

So I would say Soon™

But in reality just for a simple example if a big juggernaut like SWTOR has to shut down its AU servers and merge the players with NA then I am going to say MWOs chances to have Australian servers is never at this rate. Now I know people say SWTOR is failing and pay to win creep and all but quick social media numbers still say it has a larger community even if it is nosediving with SWTOR twitter = 200k, SWTOR Facebook = 2.3 million while MWO twitter = 12k and the MWO facebook is 69k.

While MWO is small and yes still growing I just cant see PGI even considering the cost of overseas servers when lots of the community is in waiting either with wallets closed or just not playing until major content like Clans and Community warfare come.

Anyway Dubbo is a small town in the middle of nowhere. No offence but I cant imagine your internet being good for international gaming anyway as I know mine in a big city like Brisbane is still poo.

No. Australians and Europeans (and Asians) provide a much needed flavor to the game, and diluting the playerbase would be a terrible blow to all of us.

Also, I like to feel like a badass by whupping them. I just tell myself "you're just that good! Look how well you dodge their fire! They can barely even hit you!"

I don't think there will be any regional servers at this point, especially with the hassle of having to have separate account systems

Would love to see some new servers added :D

Maybe some dev feed back on this would be awesome?
