I just dropped once.
My team was nowhere to be found. I was the heaviest thing in my lance by a lot, so was immediately left behind. And then an enemy lance found me less than a minute into the game and the 4v1 was (mercifully) brief.
Almost exactly one minute in, and I was blown to shreds.
This is not exciting, PGI. This is ragequit inducing.

So: The Game Is Entirely Random Now?

Welcome to their "gifted" ideas on how to furtherly unbalance and destroy their own game, pair it up with a completely borked matchmaker and the picture is that one, they just want you to get mad at them.
It will take months to make them understand this and to revert this change. Shame on me that I recharged some MCs yesterday after reading those command chair posts, this game should have stood in beta for many more months. Because these changes are to be done in a beta to test them out NOT in a "RELEASED" game.

And now I've got a few more drops under my belt. Same results: No coordination, no team, no anything except a quick, lonely death.
Thank you, PGI. I was slightly regretting my decision to not buy any MC during the sale. Now, it looks like I'm taking a month, or two, or forever off.
And I've been playing since just after open beta. I cannot even imagine someone new being tossed to the wolves like this...

Give people time to adapt.
When I first dropped in conquest mode after the patch, I was so discombobulated I didn't know who to follow or which point to head to first. Neither did anyone else on my team, for that matter.
The other team of course went straight to the middle and blobbed, and, the result is a roflstomp.

Gotta organize the lances now, I guess. Except they still don't have a way of locking premades.

I really thought they had learned their lesson via all the other times they pulled this {Scrap}. Now at this point the most we can hope for is that they 'get around' to fixing it in 3-4 months.

Need a few more drops. But so far this change seems to favor brawling builds. You are dropped closer and with less support. Will not say it is bad yet, gotta have more time on it.
But my first impression was. Okay, now what is diff..OH BLEEP!!!!

Spreading out a team at drop punishes new players, or at least the ones who have not yet realised that sticking together is essential to survival in MWO.
