Aside from the bugged hitboxes near the head, the Centurion was close to the best mech PGI had done, in terms of hitbox divisions. Easy to crack, hard to kill. The arms actually left behind a reasonable amount of debris when destroyed (something most other mechs should have).

So now the Centurion joins the easy-to-core club, and though it's leagues behind the Catapult, it is a fair amount easier to kill now. It's not like it was overpowered before. I don't see teams fielding Centurions much at all unless it's a Wang.

Cicada rear CT was too small? The mech is already all-CT and about 20% too big. Cicada needs a buff. They need the side torsos to extend a little further. They need the destroyed arms to be larger.

They need for damage done to destroyed arms to deal reduced damage to the appropriate side-torso, instead of dealing unreduced damage directly to the CT.

Clarification:
Remember.. this is hit box tuning. As in when a Mech registers damage, it goes to the appropriate component on the Mech. This has nothing to do with hit detection which is part of HSR and is being investigated on a different development train.

So far, I've checked the Cicada and Spider, and both still transfer damage to the wrong component when shooting destroyed arms. Will they ever get fixed? It appears not, since the hitbox pass that was supposed to do exactly that didn't.

Yup, my cents now get centre cored easily just like my shadow hawks which i dislike for this very reason.

I fear what will happen when they touch the Hunchbacks.

Its for the greater good of the game - and when all Mechs have been reworked they can balance them with Mech Quirks and Pilot Skills (like the "Hunch" of the "Back" giving the weapons inside a better protection - pretty much like closed Missile Doors work).

You and I have VERY different experiences with the Shadow Hawk.

Overall, I like the changes to the cent. It's no longer a "zombie" mech, which always irritated me. Besides, with everyone shooting the legs, who gets CTd in one?

I haven't been shot in the legs currently in my CN-AL, so yes CT'd.

Yep, I just got one shot killed through the rear CT of my cicada. That would never have happened pre-patch. The damage would have spread.

Couldn't agree with OP more- they needed to make other mechs more like the cent, not make the cent more like other mechs.

I posted a dissertation ( :D ) on this that I believe is relevant to your interests. http://mwomercs.com/...hitbox-changes/

I had different experiences with my CN-9A today. On Forrest i was center-cored very fast. But then i had a very long (awesome) duel with a Thunderbolt-9SE (dont remember the name of the pilot, but thx for that 5*-fight!) on Canyon where i felt no difference to pre-patch.

so, i think the change is not that gamebraking :D
