I know once in a while a few teasers pop up of artwork or "over the shoulder" pics, but I have not seen any around.

Do any exist outside of the original drawing for the Sabre Reinforcement package?

Thanks!

Nope, not yet. Only teasers so far are for the automated turrets... something.

Is it still set for release on the 17th or was the date pushed back?

Methinks that after the Shadowhawk debacle PGI may be playing their cards closer to their chest to avoid the "WHY IS MY GRIFFIN/WOLVERINE THE SIZE OF AN ATLAS?!" outcry.

You gotta remember just because it is bigger doesn't make it heavier.

And also that bigger isn't everything. Some people were jumping from the rooftops and while I would agree the Hawk is tall, in the end that mostly means it can't dash between an Atlas's legs like certain other mechs.

I sort of think PGI should give us pics of the rendered assets outside of the game of they want to tease us. Then we have little to base conclusions on at first ;)

They said the Shadowhawk was 55 ton mech size. No reason to believe these two 55 ton mechs won't be the same.

I understand that, but it still makes for terrible gameplay balance. Imagine how well a Commando the size of an Atlas would fare (or vice versa).

Byran Eckman explicitly stated on his twitter feed (in response to a question about the size of the Griffin / Wolverine / Shadowhawk - since only the Kintaro had been released at this point) that they would the "55 ton mech" size. So be prepared for mechs the size of the Victor with 68% of the mass!

Pff why I'm not surprised some people never learn on mistakes or maybe to stubborn to admit.

The size is important. There is a reason why light mechs are so tiny in this game. And there is a reason why Trebuchets and Quickdraws are rarely seen on the battlefield. They are as easy to hit as an assault mech, but have much less armor. The Shadow Hawk only works so good because it is rather slim.
Judging from the sabre artwork the Wolverine looks at least as bulky as the Quickdraw.

I hope the next light will be size of a Hunchback, just to see what the "size isn't important" people will say.

PGI seems to know how to make light mechs small, why can't they make medium mechs medium sized?!

Yeah, it seems a subjective concept but was what I was saying. And being that size wouldn't really bother me much.

and at the end of the day, if that size had remotely impacted the pure awesome that is the ShadowHawk, I might be concerned.

It hasn't, so I reserve judgement. (Heck almost all the Phoenix have massive hunches, yet none die ignominiously like a Hunchback)

To be fair, I'd bet the Shawk would be even better if it were more properly scaled.

which, if you think about it, is WHY it is tall. Because it would obsolete everything else if it was say, the size of a Hunchy.

That might work in the case of the Shad, but the Kintaro and Sabre mechs don't have the "sweet spot" hardpoint layout that the Shad does but will most likely be of similar size (the Kint already is).
