Played 7 matches this morning, 6 were therma. Hours later tried again. 11 matches 10 were therma. What could possibly cause this? I don't mind therma that much but just wondering when I can have Crimson 16 times in 18 games.

Bad luck.....and it's probably still weighted for some reason.

Silly Hobbitz. You are in Mordor for a reason.

It's probably a legit complaint. I had the same thing happen to a lesser degree since the patch. With 3-4 games in a row on the map.

3 out of 4 I'll buy, those numbers are just not believeable

Dropping against BSK in a best of 5, we hit Terra Therma 4 times in a row.

It can happen.

That being said, that map is terrible.

PGI believes you have teh precious.

Go forth into Mordor.

It's starting to be less random and more intentional... as if they need that much more telemetry in trolling everyone.

Last night, I spent 50% of my drops on that map alone. This is having played 20 matches or so (yes, that means 10 on Mordor with a nice 4 in row and alternating between Mordor and a different map).

It could also be that PGI loves teh Hobbit and felt like they should share.

Last night at least 50% of the matches I played were Crimson Straits. Somethin's wonky in space-Denmark.

I should have said 3 to 4. Most often with Terra Therma. I apparently play longer sessions than he does. 3 to 4 in a row a few times over 40 - 50 matches is a little more tolerable.

Because "random" number generators don't really produce random numbers.

Plus Lady Luck has probably disowned you.

Well I knew how the usual suspects would respond.

PGI can check for themselves, The Usual suspects? I could care less.

Here's some stats that you can ponder over.

Since map stat tracking has been added (around the time Tourmaline was added IIRC)... here's some #s

Map, Matches, Wins, Losses, Ratio, Time Spent
Terra Therma 297 164 132 1.24 1 day 08:02:19

Seems like a lot? I dunno, let's compare this to some of known biased weighted (PGI admitted as such, twice for Alpine+Tourmaline) map drops that I have:

Alpine Peaks 522 282 239 1.18 2 days 09:55:56
Tourmaline Desert 821 454 364 1.25 3 days 13:12:01
Canyon Network 585 359 225 1.60 2 days 07:10:30

These maps were heavily weighted during its time, and thus have collected a whole lot more telemetry than the maps prior to that.

The most disturbing stat is the map I play the least (outside of Crimson Strait, which statistically I would have less because of obvious reasons):

Frozen City 388 204 184 1.11 1 day 09:08:54

TT has not reached the level of Frozen City, but it's climbing rapidly. I have "technically spent" 1 less hour in Mordor than I have on Frozen City. How's that possible? Map weighting.

It's not a random occurrence, it's intentional.

And it needs to stop.

New maps can be weighted for a maximum of 1 month following their release. After that, all maps should have an equal weighting.

I agree that it is intentional to a degree. Time spent isn't really a good indicator because of map size. I have ten less drops on Terra Therma than Frozen City. I have 6 more hours played on Terra Therma than Frozen City.

Not on PGI's watch.

I used to think that idea would be good, but that was PGI's policy before, and they stopped that since TT and Crimson Strait. The problem though is that they are doing this for telemetry, and telling noone about the increased weight of the map drop.

Of course, I saw in the same match on Mordor where a teammate lost their legs to the lava, despite not BEING on lava. It happened to the opponent AS WELL. It was amusing and yet sad.

Oh well, more MORDOR FOR ALL.
