EDIT: biggest difference is the fact that when you hit the ground after a jump in a light, you practically hit it running, where as in a medium you lose a lot of time getting back to full speed. Meaning that if a light wants to shake a jumping medium, all they have to do is make said medium jump.

Spreads both the energy and the missiles over several locations.
And you can keep the head mounted one as a medium pulse

Now I completely understand why these threads are made.

It's a far cry from terribad. Or even bad. Hell, I've dropped big mechs with a 2D Commando with less firepower, though the Commando is faster and smaller. Overall, it's nothing that can't be done better on a SHD, though.

(They messed up the hardpoints, it should have 2 energy and 4 Missile, so just pretend the SRM6 is x2 streak2's)
2 large pulse
4 Streak2's.

Well, the KTO is the king (in terms of Streaks), although the Streakhawk is perfectly meta-compliant and then some (it's much more diverse/useful).
I didn't like his build (it wasn't the point). My point was more than there already exists something a lot more threatening and pointing this out is pretty much "meh".

If you want to say it's "meh", go ahead and say it's "meh". 'Cause it is. But calling it "terribad" is a disservice to the OP and the community, and makes you look bad.

It's not when the weapon loadout is literally on one side. I know that hasn't stopped Highlanders, but the Griffin loadout can be replicated elsewhere.
TBH, none of the Saber pack mechs excite me, but I haven't made a final opinion on them (since, it's all conjecture).
Seems like you could do more than that IMO anyhow (excessive JJs, and max engine eats too much tonnage for my liking).

So, that makes it terribad when one fo the best mechs in the game has the same issue? Yeah, I don't think so.

secondly i already payed for saber reinforcements, so of course im going to build my mechs i payed for, it would be foolish to buy them then walk away because "there are better mechs"
thirdly LRM as they are now are fine, even when boated, its the fllooders that are going to get them nerfed for everyone else.
4th.... what war? the french have fled like cowards from litterally dozens of them so its assinine to simply say "the war"

Well, the Highlander does have missiles on the other torso... it has actual options. The 733 is an interesting missile boat.
The Griffin has nothing, literally.

It's not about the money... it's just not that intriguing or interesting.

AMS still has been unimportant to me since the "LRM dive bombing bug" was fixed.
Also, learning to find/use cover is so much easier to benefit from, most of the time.
Besides, spotting for teammates is not that hard in a light.

Do some research on how many wars the French have been in. And in how many of them their forces ate lives as readily as any other.
20th Century-wise, yes, WWII and Vietnam are big standouts as French loses. But the French have tangled with the Brits and Germans repeatedly, giving as good as they got most of the time.

Only lights who blindly run in without inspecting loadouts get done in 1v1 vs streak boats with my team 10-12 thanks to disconnects. Example - Just before I was in my DK and identified 2 4ssrm2 oxides on the other team so I kept off their field of view and out of range and focused on the bigger mechs with my team until we all chased the jenners and won.
