Oks.. I sort of like the new spawn system... I get that teamwork is more important now and this new spawn system is supposed to encourage that...

But the 2 Alpha Lances on Tourmaline are too close together.. they are only 1 GRID away...No other Map in the game does this happen.. not even River City... These spawns for ALpha Lances are too close.. especially for pugging...

With that said here is what happened to me just now...

The Match Maker failed to find 2 people in my Lance ( I was Solo Pugging)..
Plus we had some disconnects (on both sides)..

Here is the end result... My Lance mate was in a CAtapult and was killed in 20 seconds by a rushing enemy LAnce.. He was Typing when he died...

Here(Below) is the spawns from SMurfys..... these Alpha Lance Spawns from both teams are only 1 GRID apart... no other map in the game has this problem.. this is Tourmaline

I like the new spawns.. but some of them need to be fixed... why would my Dropship only carry 2 mechs of Heavy and Assualt and drop them so close to the enemy?

I was in a Stalker and I always immediately run toward my base when I spawn on this location... I turned around and saw 2 Shadowhawks, a Locust, and another Catapult rip ours to shreds...

We lost... it was an interesting game... but this is the 3rd time I"ve seen this happen in a week.. and only on this map...

I bump this thread out of pity - as nobody wants to reply.

Thanks... I put this in Game Balance Thread but lately it seems everything gets moved around.... I'm not really complaining of the Match Maker because it failed.. (perhaps at exactly at 10:30 PM PST there were not enough people to play a full game.. it happens).. but the spawns can be fixed,ect...

Also a Heavy Lance next to a Fast Lance (and it seems they were a Full 4 man Group) ripped us to shreds...

Forgot to add I think the enemy Team had 2 discos and we only had 1... so Maybe the MAtch maker was working as intended?

Yeah the match maker sure does some stupid things with Mech placement. In fact, I don't believe it even takes into consideration the types of Mechs in each lance when it plops those lances onto the map. The new spawn points make the battles more interesting, but without a proper way to communicate with your team mates the games are more frustrating than anything else.

in a ftp game there should always be an abundance of people - that is the point of ftp. getting them to spend money is the trick.

if the pop is that bad in a ftp - game over

You can thank Bravo lance on the opposing team for that match.

Premade tonnage limits can't come soon enough.
