So the command tree is for ALL 'Mechs you own then as in once you complete that part of the tree you get to use that ability in all your 'Mechs OR does it mean that you have to complete the tree for each 'Mech you buy?

Edit:
Never-mind I just read through it again and it looks like you will have to research the Tree's for each individual 'Mech you purchase/acquire.

And here I thought this game will be all about honorable fights, where only the skill of the pilot makes the difference. Now I learn a bunch of kids will be able to spam arty barrage and air strike and all kind of ****. I'll wait until the game is released. see just how much spamming will be done then I'll decide if I stay or leave this game.

Your getting something wrong dude.

Everything in the game costs c-bills, well everything that delivers serious damage. Else, it has a long cool down. There ain't going to be any sort of spamming, it would not work in this game it would be mayhem.

Get watching the videos. Strategy and precision are key.

Oh I just changed my vote.

Scout --> Commander

I want to get in the founder Atlas straight away and hopefully get a chance to lay out strategy.

Probably go Command. After looking at what's available, a command pilot in an Atlas focused mostly on support and denying objectives would probably be extremely useful. And useful's what I want to be.

I'm a veteran of Command & Conquer, Total Annihilation, and StarCraft, so strategy's not the slightest bit intimidating to me either.

Assault/Defense for me... Used to "charge" into enemies in every MW Game yet (Although others would call it bumping into them unwillingly) so I can as well spend my XP for it ;)

Does this correlate with mech class choice polls?

I will go for the Atk/Def tree even though i will focus on being a scout. I need the ability to mount those vision modules as quickly as possible.

I'll go scout tree first even though I won't be playing one ;-)
The HUD detail skills are too important to pass up when trying to make a kill...

No option for me as I will be progressing all of the skill trees pretty evenly as they all have options I want.

Scout tree first for me, although I'll probably try to integrate the additional view modes from into my build

definitely scout being able to mark targets for your lance and vanishing off the radar if someone picks up is way to helpful to pass up

then command, being able to combine the two will be a highly underestimated set up

Chose atk/def, but I'm tempted by command. I'm not in beta yet, so I don't know how it'll play, but I don't want to spend too much time staring at a top-down map.

Scout zoom level 2 then into as/def "tree" to get Thermal vision.. then back to continue on Scout tree..

If mix and match "tree" system is avail that should pretty much be the essentials for decent scout build.
