I would not be asking any of you to take this leap, If I did not have complete faith in your ability to succeed. Your courage will never be more needed than it is today.

Hm. Original Godzilla head. Looks fun! And unlike most trailers didn't spoil the entire plot in a 1 minute trailer.

I just hope the movie will follow the Japanese version's suit, where Gojila would do his destruction and return to the sea after making his point.
Instead of the Hollywood way of throwing U.S. Army and bombs at it until it dies and ending the movie with "Hooahh! Murika!" or jump scare.

I actually liked the "Zilla" movie....

But I liked Final Wars where we see Godzilla himself kill Zilla more.
TailWham! FireBreath! dead Zilla! Next monster!

Edit: Just showed this to my sister, and she had a similar reaction.  :P

anyone else notice they completely defeated the purpose of a HALO jump when they had the flares attached to the ankles?

the whole point is to allow groups to be inserted into a region stealthily. because no one can look up and see the twenty guys with parachutes slowly floating down.

When i was a kid, I remeber seeing the "remake" you know the 2000 version?, i remeber beeing so exicted for it, then it only held my attention for about 10 mins. I found it boring as ****, so much so it was more fun to watch the lights of the projecter than the acual movie. So i guess im still a little skeptical about this one...

I don't think Godzilla cared about stealth. lol
I was disappointing that they didn't land right on his back.

I grow up watching the black and white ones, so my expectation of a Zilla movie might be archaic. ;)

Plus they are all about to get an airstrike dropped on their feet.

Thats what you get when you let Hollywood producers into planning sneak commando insertions... you get pretty red lines behind them. They probably edited out the commandos dropping at the top with the White parachutes with built in blinking LED lights spelling our the words "Eat at Joes" and "Godzilla snack delivery service".

…And they're doing a HALO insertion of what is apparently an Army SOF team (of whom, some of them have apparently never performed a HALO jump before) into an American city because… uh… why?

Why don't they fly them in with helos or Ospreys (that can avoid the giant monster and actually have power not provided by gravity to escape Godzilla) and then fast rope in? Instead of sending some guys who have never done a HALO before in with some guys who have and then making them rely on their mad parachute driving skills to avoid said giant beasty.

It's like watching the Paladin SPG in Cloverfield shoot at the titular monster. 155mm ain't gonna do **** to that thing. Neither are the SOF's M4A1 Carbines in this new Godzillla. So what's the bloody point?

I'm guessing that the ONLY reason they're doing the HALO jump (and, yeah, the flares were really stupid, too) is to make it dramatic and Battle: LA already did the Ospreys/Sea Knights/Super Stallions flying over a city being destroyed by an Improbable Force™.

Maybe the SOF guys will bring a projector painted OD green dba SOFLAM with them and use the laser to blind Godzilla!

ETA: I think I'm going to call it now: Godzilla (2014) ain't got jack on Pacific Rim.

If some giant monsters were tearing up the joint who would you send to recon it?
lol pacific rim was a great movie but there just aint enough Jaegers around and they certainly arent big enough to deal with THE KING.

The trailer i linked isnt the new one either, its the old leaked one.

My introduction was Godzilla Raids Again so I am with you on that. :P
(combined with Godzilla vs Gigan) :o

To those who say Godzilla 2000 was bad? (AKA the Zilla movie. IE radioactive Iguana?)
Godzilla vs King Kong (the American version) Godzilla drowns at the end.
Godzilla, same monster that was sleeping at the bottom of the ocean in the original movie.... drowns.
(stupid quick swap of the monster's names to let the American monster win) :(
