At least the DEVs for Star Citizen produce what they promise, AND keep us informed of what is going on. They actually LISTEN to the community.

The DEVs at PGI don't do ANY of those things. They are clueless on how to use the CryEngine Properly. They are clueless on what we, the community, actually want. They tell us lies all the time just to shut us up (3PV was suppose to be separate Queues....yeah right...most of the Core players DIDN'T EVEN WANT IT IN THE GAME!). I am fed up with PGI. I thought they should have been fired a LONG time ago, and a new DEV team brought in. I bet PGI is running all of these Money Grabs to make IGP think that everything is actually going fine.

It amazes me that people think that PGI and IGP are different people still, two members of the board head each division, but are still the same boardroom..is so comon and the kind of corrupt way people run companies to safeguard money should one collapse.

pgi transfers money to igp accounts that it 'owned' them, then folds around march april..and how much money would those that invested in the clan pack get back..should PGi go bankrupt hmm...good luck on that..

Wowwww, alot of sand in some vjj's around here. :D
It's not 2004, it's 2013....stuff costs money plain and simple.
At 10 bucks a mech....deal.
Having to buy seven or eight mechs in a package deal to get them for 10 bucks each....bummer.
oh well....instead of crying I will examine which deal works best for me.
I would say the Timberwolf pack for $210.00 Why? It's better than buying them individually.
Timby: Would buy it
Dire: Would definitely buy it
Storm: Abso-fracking-lutely!
Adder: Definite solid light capable of carrying some real nasty **** and I definitely would have bought it at some point.
Summoner: ol' reliable
Nova and the Kitfox: meh  ...

multiple variants, mechbays included, a bunch shiny **** for you px rangers...
don't understand the cryin

PGI, GET IT TOGETHER AND GIVE US A COMPLETE GAME ALREADY. FIX MATCHMAKER OR DO AWAY WITH IT AND GIVE US LOBBIES SO WE CAN CHOOSE WHO WE FIGHT WITH OR AGAINST, WHAT MAP'S NEXT SO WE CAN CHOOSE THE RIGHT MECH FOR THAT MAP FFS ALREADY.

Oh and you've lost your minds with that $500.00 gold khan thing...no one...I say again no one will purchase THAT.

Everything for sale in Star Citizen can be earned in the game. Everything. There are no unique versions, ships, modules etc that only money can buy. Can't say that about MWO, now can you? So please don't spread misinformation.

Also, they raise money from these purchases and open other studios with full employee hirings with it.

They don't go totally blow it all on another failed game instead.

While I do agree that new mechs are content, but one could argue that mechs are "not" new content, but only expansions on current content that has been slowly trickling for 2 years.

Sorry, but mechs are literally what the game is about. Would you really say that tanks are not content in WoT? While I agree that PGI has **** communication (and/or bad planning) regarding vital game features, their content team is putting out stellar work in my opinion. Pushing further, selling content is what keeps the game alive, so really, the beef with new content packages seems misdirected.

Interestingly, more or less unified forums rage.

Even PGI's white knights are on the side of the riot this time. That's very telling.

Actually the white knight's I've called out today so far have defended PGI on the $240 packages as cost effective packages but decry the $500 gold mechs... it's ain't unanimous, I had my says earlier in the day. Saw it go form outrage posts, to 'TOO DAM HIGH' posts, to troll feeding session, back to outrage posts as the next timezone woke up... and so it continues...

I hope the people who buy gold or any of the expensive packs have a tag so we can all point at the people making things worse.

If I found out years later PGI is some Argos level front for some other operation, I would not be shocked.

@AlexEss: I think you're missing the point, Alex...we (the people who've ALREADY forked over obscene amounts of money for a product which has YET to be delivered) are not upset (outraged, irate, vehemently opposed to, livid, etc...) because IGP/PGI is trying to take advantage of the holiday season and introduce yet more (unrealized) promises in exchange for (Redonculous amounts of) cash. We're want PGI to deliver upon the promises they have ALREADY made to us for both New play modes, bug fixes, and real content...not more empty promises and dangling carrots designed to separate us from our hard-earned cash (ducats/moolah/do-re-mi/scratch/wampum/sheckels/rupiis/drachmas/pfennings).

I hope this clears things up for you. Happy Holidays!

The bean counters can't put a price tag on CW and UI2.0 and how much money that would in turm make them if it was put in the game. They can count madcat sales though..

It's true, their 'mech team has been hard at work and has something to show for it. Their gameplay team....

I almost wonder if a smoke-filled conversation like this went around the office:

"Hey man.. I mean what if we just.. stopped working you know? Have the mech people keep making mechs and keep selling them to fund like, a totally awesome year! We just do nothing! Then if anyone pushes us into a deadline we can just like change a few numbers and act like it was a huge deal. What do you say, man?"

I have to disagree that PGI is putting out stellar work, maybe their ART Team is putting out stellar work, but the rest of PGI is putting out sub par work.

I'm still serious, I want to know what PGI's price is.

I think there's enough of us that care about the franchise enough to pay it.

It's obvious they want to offload the property and it's obvious we want it back, so let's just make it happen!

Actually PGI is a Studio owned by IGP. PGI doesn't "own" IGP. Get it right. I guess you have no clue how Game Development works. Most Publishers own several studios they use to produce games. Yes PGI could funnel all of the money to IGP, and then file for bankruptcy. Happens all the time, and today's Governments are run by the Corporations so not much we can do about it right now.
