Wrong, it was called multiplayer battletech 3025 and it was superior to this game in every way except for the excellent graphics by flying debris.

Don't forget NBT HC.

Planet assaults/raids, mech permadeath, basic economics and logistics. All on top of MW4 for 0$ just because people thought this would be a lovely thing to play!

Its official then

They have completely lost the plot
$500 for 1 gold mech

If they had been open and honest with the community, buying into clan mech's would be a consideration
If they delivered and fixed the things they said they would when they said they would, i would probably buy a package
If they didnt lie and abuse our trust and faith in them then i would have most definitely bought the $240 package

But all i see is some fancy pictures, innuendo's, and another dangling carrot

I try to be positive about this development team but i have believed 1 too many lies from them, so i don't believe anything they say, i will believe it when i see it.

While I appreciate the feedback on ClanTech, my big concern remains the Golden, $500, unaddressed elephant in the room

Damn this thing here is like:

“You’ve read all these scrolls?”

Nim: “More like skimmed them.”

Nim: “The scrolls don’t tell us the future. They only guide us with a knowledge of the past.”

Nim after reading a scroll: “Well that was intense. I gotta read more of these.”

Crowdfunding = "Preselling items to fund project development"

This is the exact same thing. Just because the game is released, doesn't mean it doesn't still need funding for future content. There is no "rule" that says crowdfunding can't continue post release of a project.

True, but the original funders are still waiting on the basic content originally promised. CW is more than a year behind schedule now isn't it? That's bad. That's like military development inefficiency bad. What are we being asked to pay for? We already paid for CW and a balanced game that functions (SRMs PLEASE). I regret paying for the Phoenix pack now because, even though I had accepted that development was done, I didn't expect PGI to straight up cash out yet. I'm just waiting for them to turn off the servers at midnight of the new year.

I struggle to understand how people continually fail to understand the business model of games like these. Many players contribute little to no financial funding yet want to see features, capabilities, maps, mechs, etc. rolling out like crazy. Do you not understand this cost money? By forward funding clan, can't you see they are actually paying for the dev's to build it? I wish they would let us somehow advance CW's pace.

PGI can either choose to charge us subs, or pay as they go. If they had a larger paying fan base, the prices would go down. Nearly everything of any value is accessible to players who put in time but don't pay. I appreciate those who lack the funds, and keep the game playable with their participation.

Just because the cost to you is more than you want to pay doesn't mean it is wrong or unfair. Play the game the way you can afford it. If you are funding the content, why shouldn't you get early access and more advantages? If you aren't funding the content, isn't it fantastic you get to play a great game for free?

I admit a $500 gold mech seems a little crazy, but no stress to me that I don't want to buy it. People also bought the 'I'm rich' app on ITunes for $10k that just said those words on their phone. All the better for them.

I plan on buying the top clan tier shortly. I keep my account always on premium time even though many days I don't play. I only hold out wanting to have a better understanding of the CW implementation plan. I have no problem paying $240 and have already paid much more. I just don't have an idea of the state of the game and player base 7 months from now without understanding the progression of improving game dynamics to retain the player base. I've seen a lot of MMO's fold down in that time range depending on how they manage content release. PGI seems to be doing a fairly good job, and I'd like to know more information first.

I'm sure some troll will jump on here to bash me and the business which is providing us this service. Go for it, you just make yourself look pathetic. Post beta, this is one of the better MMO and simulators and fantastic stability. It is a great recreation of a legendary combat system. I appreciate the team who built it for us to enjoy.

The island is getting awfully crowded....

UI 2.0 and CW is what will give this game longevity... Not the number of mechs.

Anyone else wonder what Jordan Weisman thinks (or would think) about MWO's state and IGP/PGI's track record? I'd be very curious to hear from The Man himself.

Really why then is it not around any more, but on private servers, and EA killed that with hey guess what broken promises as well just pointing out ever MW title boils down to combat and just blasting other mechs. If CW flops then yes I will be dis-pointed as a programmer for robots and all I can relate to it takes time to get things coded and done correctly, Am I happy with everything no as I stayed, but core was the combat is their yes deadlines are missed its going to happen. Am I going to spend a {Scrap} ton of money on clan tech probably but that is my choice not anyone else so why B**** about something. Sorry just adding my gas to this bond fire because I like big flames.

We would be a lot more forgiving if we didn't feel conned from the last two grab deals (see my sig - I have overlord and a gold founders package... I am 'overgold').

For example we were told all the big features would be in before open beta.... CW should also have been in within 90 days of open beta. So yeah, us founders are a little bitter that we didn't get what we were enticed to put money into, but hey they need money to develop right? give them some time?

Well we did... they announced in march that CW would be in 3 phases up to launch, and some of us bought phoenix packs to help.

They promised us they wouldn't do 3pv but then they did... and they didn't have any of the big features in for launch... or in time for phoenix release... parts of phoenix are missing (badges and loyalty points)... and we are almost into 2014.

So yeah, while companies do need money to do things, these guys have taken money without delivering for the last 18 months and I (and many others) are tired of being milked.

Stand Strong. If you post and are unhappy make sure this is included.

Communication%20is%20key,%20this%20image%20has%20been%20filtered%20due%20to%20spam%20abuse.

Do not spam it, but just include it to make sure it remains in vision. Even censored, keep posting the fact it's been censored (and not the picture) to reinforce the point.

Above image has been censored due to PGI not being able to handled reality. Communication is key, PGI, but it's not the point of the image. Don't put words into my mouth, forum dictator.

I'm laughing at the pricing model. Is that $240 Canadian? Does this come with a gaming console to play MWO on? Damn those prices are egregious! PGI may unabashedly ask me for my money. They had better not be surprised when I refuse to give it to them. I'll pass on the clans.

They did work on the island a lot. Created it, enlarged it, added residents to it and made it the top tourist destination. Instead of developing stuff that actually mattered, they created things that made it worse... i.e. worked on the island.

A guy made an interesting post about MW:O earlier this week but it was instantly jettisoned,in that post he postured that MW:O is actually in fact just a funds recovery exercise by IGP to recover the capital they lost when they tried to pitch their single player Mechwarrior.

When you look at things currently: minimum viable product, no new features added for over a year, but mech sales every 2 minutes and them constantly pitching new shinies to the playerbase. I dunno, it makes me feel a little uneasy.
