What I don't understand is how you can have a limit on a digital good. You can make infinite copies.

Blame Star Citizen and their limited 15k$ ship packages that sold out. Worked for those chumps.

They are selling every single Clan Mech for $10 each, and people are posting about "how it costs $150 for a Puma."
Get a clue - each package comes with all the lower ones included.

And the $500 Mechs are pay-to-win? Since when does a gold Mech that stands out like a sore thumb make it a Win Machine? How is any of this Pay-to-Win if they're ALL going to be made available for purchase with C-Bills (except the gold-colored ones with the zero-superpowers)?

Some people have no right to complain.

If you can't buy the Packages, then just buy the darn Mechs when they come out. Sheesh.

Yeah I totally trust that Prime variants won't be better and won't be released sooner than the C-bill only versions, former moderator Prosperity Park. I also totally trust the Ryoken and Timberwolf being at the top of the packages (not available separately), above the 100t Dire Wolf, is an honest mistake and not to milk the playerbase for the most popular designs!

Rip, I've been uncomfortable fighting with Davions for a while now and relish every Davion kill. I don't think the succession warefare is stricly necessary to build that... tension. LOL However, I do feel more amicable to Davions than the other houses by a long shot. ;)

It'll be my distinct pleasure to join with you and your fellow Elsies to kick some Snakes in the teeth. And the Cappies always need some Autocannon therapy.

As for the FedCom Civil War, well, time enough for that as soon as we wipe out all these vat-babies. ;)

I think this thread speaks well to what people think the game is worth right now, and right now the game is worth less than $10 per mech. Maybe if there was more to do, then people wouldn't be complaining so much about the price. Maybe it would be worth the $10 per mech. Unfortunately that's not the case right now. They should have waited on this until they had more game in their game.

I submit to you that if you are going to buy the Clan Collection at least wait to do it. Wait long and hard. Wait until the last minute. Don't reward this type of behavior. If you must get the mechs fine, but don't go throwing a bunch of money at them right now. Make them think about what they are doing.

Yes, that's it. Mock the people who made one last good faith purchase based upon the glimmer of hope that remained this summer before launch. This is the last refuge of the Brown Knights as their world of delusions collapses around them.

I purchased overlord because of the latest string of lies about UI2.0 and CW being right around the corner at launch. Remember when people like you said that it was almost here, and all we had to do was cling on for a few more months?

And here we are, at the dawn of yet another kickstarter campaign (and yes that's what this is) with no UI2.0 or CW.

You really told me.

People like me eh? I believe we both have made presumptions about each other based on ignorance. 8D Mine is all in good fun though I should have prefaced that in my troll bait post to you. :3

If you have read any of my previous threads and posts you know I am by no stretch a white knight for PGI, just merely a sap for mechs like everyone else here. I also tend to not like unnecessary griping and moaning hence troll bait posts for the lulz.

$500 is more than my wedding ring cost at $900 per ounce of white gold (at the time). I'm just sayin'...

But it comes with a unique war horn; you can't put a price on that (because it is not explained by PGI).

The Clan 'mechs have been presented like a super-hero dream team.

Hey PGI, please explain why an Omni mech needs variants.

Posted Image

Balance
Step 1. Don't make Omni mechs.
Step 2. Sell Clan Hero Mechs.
Step 3. Drag everything out.
Step 4. Fail.
Step 5. Walk off with money.

I cannot WAIT to hear how this was a mistake by the marketing department or some other excuse that has been giving every time the community wails against something.

I am pretty much done with MWO until there are some results. I have seen 0 results after support the game, and funding the primarily for community warfare.

Need more unexplained features to throw money at and then wait a year or more for them to actually appear.....and when they do they're completely NOT what was stated!

I tried clicking on the Warhawk package but all it did was redirect me to Star Citizen and thanked me for my purchase of another RSI Constellation. huh.

Instead of spending 500 dollars on a skin, I'll just...you know, buy a new video card or maybe buy something worth my time.

500 dollars for a texture and a checkbox on the material's render setting? Re-dact-that noise.

So aside from being bitter that as an old man and not the son of an oil tycoon (those still exist right?) that I could not hope to ever afford these, I think this is a disconnect.

I'm one of those late 20's early 30's midwest guys. My video game budget might be $500.00 for an entire year. Most of my friends fall into this range as well. When the chance to "founder" kickstart this came up, it was a no-brainer. $120.00 is just about the price of your average "collector's edition," and I understood that we were trying to boot up something special.

I think back to the days of Multi-player Battletech, you know, that game that you could play on AOL back in the 90's? It had lobbies where people would negotiate terms for the match, teams, and mechs could be modified pre-match. When you exited the game, it showed a preview for a game in the works where players would compete to shape the face of the inner sphere...

That's what we all wanted to buy into. Not Robot-CoD, Not Counter-Strike Mechs, but substance and permanence.

There's so much that is being left out in favor of what will bring in the next wave of "donors" and buyers that's integral to getting an authentic feeling to this.

Falling has been removed, and it needs to find it's way back in.
Ejecting needs to be implemented.
Lobbies. "Community Warfare." How about leaderboards? How about anything that brings the community together that isn't nestled in these forums?

I just played a great match with a good lance? I better remember the exact spelling of their name! Instead, why not allow the ability to flag people in post game score menus for friend invites?

No no, lets put out Gold Clan Mech Packages, at $500.00 a piece. That seems more important.

Free to play indeed. We understand a business has priorities, but what's the point? Why should anyone pay to be the king of Terra Therma? I bought in to fight Capellans, maybe some Kuritans? Oh the Clans are "Invading" river city? For $240-$500 let them have it.

Then why did you have multiple responses to the single announcement? Your ultimate feedback was provided in your very first post right?

PGI asked once.

Reacting to you... guess your logic backfired... I'm sure your logic won't allow you to see it that way.

Its unanimous on our unit forums so far no one is buying into the hype again on these packages, we are more interested in the game mechanic content of CW and UI 2.0 first. Without that first you won't be seeing any Widowmakers buying these.

Lot more interest these days for our members for other games anyway at this point.

proving once again that people on the internet will complain about ANYTHING

the one thing that everyone SHOULD be upset about, (IS players having access to clan tech) and not a peep.
