Clan Mech's Really Omni

1. are they Omni mechs..ie no wpn restrictions on hardpoints, jjets for any you wish to place them on and no engine cap.
2. if they are truly Omni why do we need 3 variants.
3. are clan weapons and tech actually better as thy are supposed to be..or did the devs balance them to make them actually no better than IS gear.
these need to be answered before anyone should buy those stupidly expensive packs, who on earth would pay that kind of cash if the mechs are not any superior . and tech.

I have defended you PGI, but what the hell is this?

Or is there a jacked version that limited the amount of a type of weapon but not the location?
Ex. limited to 5 energy weapons that can be mounted anywhere on the mech?

while i understand you wanting all of these,
from gameplay balance perspective it would be very hard for them to make these mech fair if this was the case,
however i have no doubt that they have found a way to make these mechs unique in a way,
that being said i have heard some people suggest ways this can still be a thing,
such as different variants having different engines (unchangeable as part of balance) or space in the parts (as in more arm actuators (not actually them but things like them) thus making each variant have different amount of space in each of the parts, allowing each of them to have different builds,
idk, i guess we have to wait and see

well not only do we know all of those are very close, the 500 skin is not meant to be for everyone, that is literally just for people who want to support them and get somthing very unique for it,
i dont feel like im remotely missing out on somthing for not getting one, i personally wouldnt even want a gold mech lol
for those its simply dont like it, dont buy it.
that being said, at first glance i though the pack prices were horrible, but it seems to be 30 bucks a mech, which honestly isnt that bad, i just wish we could choose which mechs we wanted in our pack

This ^^^^ between a gold founders pack, an overlord phoenix pack, and a bit on MC and hero mechs, it's time to start delivering on some of the promises before they get any more of my money. C'mon PGI/IGP we all have limits.

Actually it looks like they are taking a page from the SC rule book. Charge ridiculous prices for something that doesn't exist.

be careful what you wish for. If they are TRUE Omnis, you can weapon swap to your hearts content, but the engines, structure and armor is static.
Also, Paul, John, George and Ringo stated long ago that they were going to re-imagine a lot of the weapons, one for better game play balance, but also because they wanted them to actually fit the mythos of the Clans better, something that even the Product Line developers for the TT game openly say needed to be done.
Since they are apparently not going to be in seperate locked queues, they have to make some balance factors, since enforcing numeric superiority seems to be a no go. Make it open season and you just wasted the last 32 years of design work.
Careful what you ask for, you just might get it.

Well I will be surprised if they are truly overpowered compared to the existing mechs.
No offense to those who want super Clan mechs but do you really want new mechs that make all the ones people have spent time and money on utterly obsolete and noncompetitive?

Airhorns will likely mean everyone with them will have the ability to sound off on a kill like a Heavy Metal. Unique module slots mean that by launch, unique mech abilities will be implemented across the board. Custom titles was something for UI 2.0 and not possible with the current UI, meaning it must be in place by the Clan launch. I know optimism is not an emotion often shown on this forum, for good reason sometimes, but I think we can actually have some for this. PGI has been improving things at an increasing rate for the past several months. The sky-is-falling mentality of forum posters is mind boggling sometimes.
