So, not counting the exculsive modules, cockpit items, warhorns, banners, titles, and medallions, how much would each package be worth in ? (the price of Clan Mechs should be higher than IS Mechs for the same reason prices are higher)

If someone bought the highest value MC packages to get clan mechs this way upon their c-bill release, that's going to cost them about $672 for the mechs alone.

Therefore, if you are gonna be spending MC instead of buying the Clan packs, you may as well buy the packs and get the extra perks. And 90 days of premium. And the boosts on each of the special chassis. AND saving that many C-Bills is time consuming.

So much for N.O.P.E

PGI will have to come up with an alternative hero mech pricing per ton for Clan mechs, because at 75mc/ton the mc price of the hero variants would be considerably cheaper than the non hero variants (at least taking the Timberwolf as an example).

wouldnt make much sense for clan mechs to cost 3 times more if theyre not 50% better.

So if you need 3 warhawks to master, that is 240MM CB or about 2400 games or 1 year at 10 hours per week. That is pay-2-play.
If some clan mechs end of like trial mechs (due to TT stock armor that can't be changed), those who paid $240 will scream.
If the clan mechs are OP, it is Pay-2-win.
Plus, even if they get balance close, if clan mechs are a "little" bit better than IS, they will become REQUIRED for competitive play...which again is P2W for CW competitive scene.

I do not like either scenario. Of course, they could say equal balance makes equal CB price and drop CB price but then Russ said they are charging double real $ for clan because they are so much more in TT. They have followed TT pricing even including dropship proposal to-date so why change now.

That makes the need for 3 and/or at least the assaults very worrying.

You are hitting on a point that I was wondering about. Why are the apparent prices for the clan mechs ($10/mech on average) so expensive when compared to the IS packages offered so far, if the mechs are not "better" than the IS mechs as they were in other MW games? If the clan mechs and tech are more or less balanced against the current IS mechs and tech, why pay the premium price? Am I missing something?

Commercial reality I suspect.

Clan mechs will be popular, add a margin, more profit.

The positive thing though, you don't have to buy it if you don't want to. It's not like petrol or bread. You don't 'need' it to play the game.

I ponied up $90 for the Thor. Will see about the Stormcrow if I a la carte it for $55 or pump in another $90 for the package.

Being over the age of 50 now, I realize that I really wont live long enough to secure the C-bills necessary to purchase my very own Daishi! B)
