I was overclocking my VRAM today, run Furmark, it's all good.

Load up MWO, second match.....Corruption, crash.

Drop the VRAM OC a bit, run furmark again. Still Good.

Load MWO, launch....corruption, crash.

Finally get the VRAM MWO stable on the 4th try.

Sooooo...I'm looking for a better/more intensive/thorough GPU stress tester. Any suggestions?

(see sig for specs)

Unigine Valley (Good for heat testing, keep it looping)
Unigne Heaven
3DMark (Firestrike Extreme: The ultimate test)
3DMark Vantage
3DMark11 (Full Test: DeepSea scene 2 tends to show artifacts good)

Other than that, some game bench runs are a good idea. I.E Metro Last Light

I personaly find that if its stable and artifact free and also shows an improvment over a lower OC in both 3DMark Firestrike extreme, and 3Dmark11 full run, then its a stable and usable OC. At that point i run Unigine Valley for about 15-30 minutes to make sure temperatures are ok at said OC.

Ofc some games will just be more sensative so it is never a given that these programs will ensure ur OC will always be stable with every game.

I just play crysis or metro for an hour or two and if it doesn't crash or get weird then it's stable enough for me. If I have issues later on I back off a bit.

2nd vote for 3dMark.

3dMark will do things to your GPU that furmark won't. Case in point, I had a defective video card that ran Furmark fine for hours, but crashed 3dMark in 5 minutes.
