For fun I finally built a C4 with four LRM-15 wt artemis IV.
I was especially happy because of the upgraded graphics with this latest patch.
On testing grounds I was surprised to see it fire in groups of 15-10-5 in each arm. Even when chained.
Does anyone know if this is new or has it always been this way?

New. They changed the graphics - you will see there are extra 'pods' added to the missile arms. They also changed the missile count in the process, thus the result you're experiencing. The ensuing flame war is over in the Patch Feedback section.

Missile Pods got completely shat on, the A1 Trollapult is extra bad. o.O

30 Missiles should fit inside the ears, right now that is impossible unless you have just 2 LRM15's. BROKEN.
6 Streaks nets you 4 extra pods, that is 6 SEPERATE containers for a pair of missiles... So much for being a MISSILE SUPPORT MECH.!!!

Nah, the troll builds need nerfing. I would have preferred Ghost Heat or a reduction in screen shake, but bad builds deserve what they get.
Having said that, I can agree that in the case of SRMs they should be able to fit a couple of launchers inside the arms. Putting a small rack on the outside isn't that horrible.

Becoming high-risk, high-reward, as it should be. The balanced and stock builds are virtually (or even completely) unaffected. They also remain deadly if you know how to missile.

The pods on the arms are the reason. So you know you can counter this by throwing on 2 LRM-20s and 2 LRM-10s. It's also easy to get away with 2 LRM-20s and 2 LRM-5s. You could also do 2 LRM-20s and 2 SRM-6s and be fine too.

4x 15 on such a small mech is generally a bad idea. youre gunna run out of ammo in no time.
that being said, yeah the catapults arm hardpoints are very weird now. i was testing and the LRM-20 decided it wanted to live in the 10 shot "extra" bay instead of inside the ear box, while the LRM-10 (picked to match the extra hardpoints apparent size) went in the ear. of course this makes the LRM-20 fire 10-10. which is stupid.
the A1 is even more hilarious, but at least when you do 6x 5 it doesn't really matter because they all have plenty of slots (i think the hardpoints go 15-10-10 for tube sizing but it is hard to test with missile racks not slotting in order properly)
on the bright side the missile bay doors seem to have no effect on the fire pattern, the "outside" pods wait for the door to open. Also, the C1 arms now can hold a 20 rack and fire it all at once, instead of the old 15-5 pattern! wooooo!
Basically, they just need to let us select which Launcher mates with which hard point, this is a problem that has been around for ages.

Troll builds are bad and don't need to be nerfed, hence the name.... troll build.
If you can't use the 15 ( oh wait now all 20).. and I mean ALL TWENTY MISSILE tubes inside then why have the pods?
I get it if you have more then 40 missiles to put some outside, but not before. Simply a poor oversight by PGI.
