I'm about to give out my super secret 2X build. Fortunately I don't expect anyone to use it because people don't like LRMs and usually don't care for XLs in phracts. Maybe it just fits my playstyle (likely) but for medium-long range support it works quite well in PUG matches.

The trick is to stay around 400-500m away and chain those lrms. Due to the limited missile tubes the spread is really tiny and almost all goes directly to the CT of the target mech. If the enemy has AMS (a rare piece of equipment nowadays) then switch targets. Use the AC5 and LL to keep out of brawling range and the MLs for extra firepower as needed. It runs really hot, so I tend to do strafing runs from cover to cover and use the LRMs to keep the pressure on the enemy team while cooling down.
