Hi,
since the CB, I have used the "sys_MaxFPS" command in the user.cfg. I have done so for two reasons.
1.: I want to go easy on my graphic card. Less fps means less load, means less strain means less noise
2.: A fps drop from 60 (with vysnc) down to 40 fells REALLY bad, and annoys the hell out of me. The moment the framerate goes down by these 20 frames, it feels liek watching a power point presentation. I absolutely hate it. A fps drop from 50 to 40 on the other side, is MUCH less notable hence I don't care that much.
I don't know why this command doesn't work anymore. I don't get any real advantage from using it over other players, besides from not beeing annoyed with framedrops that are to steep.
I would be really glad if you, PGI, were to reactivate it again.

I'd guess the function was disabled to make the fps limiter for the mechlab and frontend work. If you look at your FPS in the menus and lab now you will note that they are capped, and this is probably a side effect of the way it was done.

This is what I have feared the moment, I saw these 30 FPS while beeing in the mechlab.
