So I was playing my Awesome today and noticed the PPC sound has been muffled for some reason.

Why was it changed? There was nothing wrong with it in the first place, it actually sounds stupid and weak now.

Was this an accident or did some dev think of changing the PPC firing sound just for giggles?

Were you on the hpg map? Everything is muffled due to no atmosphere

Well that's odd. The only reason I can think of. Is if our sound speaker cords is loose or disconnected. Or perhaps some computer sound management program settings that might alter sound coming from you computer.

I say this because I've had this happen to me before and it took a while to figure out what is the cause of muffled sound effects. Have you tried that?

There is a bug with the new sound muffling tech. It appears to trigger on other maps, not just Manifold. Unfortunately, it breaks inconsistently. For example, you report PPC sounds as broken, but they sound fine for me -- I have noticed issues with Gauss, jump jets, and AMS instead.
