This is my third Atlas, so I am going for something different. I already have the AC/20 atlas, so I don't want that here. So, that said, I'm looking for tweaks in the build. As you can see, armor is nearly maxed, I'm out of free space, and all weapon hardpoints are used, and I still have a ton left that I can't really do anything with.

Thanks in advance,

I'd suggest this: AS7-D

I haven't found streaks to be that great, and you're too slow to bring the LB10Xs to bear easily, and too hot to brawl with the ERPPCs anyway.

This drops the Streaks, turns the ERs into regular PPCs, and sheds a bit of armor to get you a 325 standard and an extra HS. Between the LB10X and the MLs, you have plenty of close in punch.

Honestly, I still don't like it. You're better off with UAC5s or AC5s to pair with the PPCs. AS7-D gives you 2 AC5s for more range and better pinpoint damage, and adds in an extra HS and 2 SRM4s with 2 tons of ammo for more close range punch. Once you're in SRM range, you avoid using the PPCs and switch to the the MLs and SRMs.

Personally, Id try to fit AMS in there as well, but many folks don't like it.

Edit: Honestly, not a huge fan of the long range Atlas builds outside of the K (because it's about all it really works for). The Atlas is better served as a frontline mech soaking damage in a brawl and dishing out punishment. At least my second build lets you do that sorta.

I'm not certain how you planned to run your build, OP, but it looks like it would self-destruct in confused, overheated fury. I suggest you focus on either brawling or range. With the 4 energy hardpoints, you can match and often best the DDC's firepower up close. Try this:

2xLB10-X
4xMLas
2xSRM6+Artemis
bout 16 or 17 DHS
7 tons LB10 ammo and 3 tons SRM ammo

I run this brawler, and can do my thing in most games with the help of speed tweak. The standard 300 is fine if you know when and where to go. Nothing can beat it head-on if you're twisting your torso between shots.
If you're dead-set on sniping, consider this:

2xUAC5
2xERPPC
5 tons UAC5 ammo
LLas in the chest for lights
Buncha heat sinks

This build focuses on sustained ranged fire. UAC bullets move about the same speed as PPC fire, and you can alternate firing the PPCs and shoot the UACs also with each trigger pull. In a brawl you can hammer the UAC button to scare off the lighter enemies. Otherwise stay back a little and let loose. Nobody likes getting shot by this. The DPS isn't as high as it could go, but it's *all available all the time*. The ability to fire almost constantly makes the build better able to lead the team since you don't need to hide and cool off.

I find the AS7-D is perfect at that 200-500m range. I set mine up as follows:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...0cff40baf30326b

3x LL
2x AC5
2x SRM6

Dont close with the enemy, you are a mid range brawler. Fire from cover and grind the opponent down. The important thing to remember is the atlas is not a dps machine, but its a grinder. It grinds out wins by tanking its armor. Learn to torso twist and how to lead with ac5 cannons.

For modules, you want to add:
Improved Gyros - AC2 and LRM spam will ruin your day in this mech. This helps counter the cockpit shake.
Target Info Gathering - Because you are big and slow, you need to identify the wtfsplat builds like AC40 Jagers and Splatapults. I'd even drop down to SRM4s and add a BAP just to find out what is bearing down towards you.
and
Hill Climb (when mastered.)

And currently anyone that knows the LB10x is broken they will shoot you once in your right torso and that/those ballistics will be done.
