Signups for both leagues close on the 19th. Season 3 will start on the 21st.

The NA League will likely be implementing a Premier League and an Open League. However, this depends on the number of teams that register (as well as which teams register). If this setup is used, there each season, teams will either move down, or up, depending on how they perform. There are a few reasons to use this model. (1) To have more matches between similar skilled teams. (2) To encourage new teams to give competitive play a chance, knowing they won't have to regularly play the best teams. (3) To have more games between the highest skilled teams, that will hopefully raise interest in competitive play (right now these teams tended to only play each other at most once a season, if at all).
The final rules are still being decided. But it looks like we'll be using assault mode again, but teams might have the option to use Skirmish (if for nothing else, to increase the chance of synching). Also under consideration, is if double round robin is used, to have the first match between teams as assault/skirmish, and the second match as conquest.
