I was just doing some reading in a pinned thread and found this:

Q: Sign an NDA? Does that mean I can't buy one if I am not 18 years or older?
A: Yes, there is a possibility this could happen. But hold on tight for more information on this aspect, since it is possible that the NDA will be dropped after the 7th August.

It would be kinda silly to be able to buy the package and then be told that you can't use it on Aug 7th if you can't sign the NDA. I'm curious how they're going to work this.

A light can (as above) pack a PPC or guass rifle, or enough small lasers to just ruin your day
In MW4 I use to kill heavies all the time in a light
They where ot fast enough to track me.. most of the time
Then i would respawn...
Which should not happen here from what I have seen

Lights are going to be VERY specialy run mechs
but in real team matches where you have 12 v 12 of team players from the same clan
1-2 scout will be priceless ( if they know how to use them)
Meds wil take the place of a lot of general scout duties
But for sheer speed to bypass mechs and take the cap lights all the way

Well aside from same weapons (w/ in weight limits) and the obvious speed advantage. They talked about rotation, torso twist speed, and twist limits. So a good light mech pilot should be able to hide in the blind spots of a bigger slower mech... Untill they are hit with an ambush.
