This build is excellent for defending assaults. Good for flanking and causing havoc to.

Dual AC/5 dual ML 5 tons of ammo. 98kph, 50t of fun.

The base cooldown on the AC/5 is 1.66, with Quirks, Fast Fire unlocked and a cooldown module the 7K shaves that down to 1.04, put it on chainfire and it gives them the shakes. Run them paired for basically an AC/10 with a 1s cooldown.

The AC/5s mount in the left torso decently positioned for peeking around the sides of cover. Same with the ML in the right.

This is a swiss army mech, a lot of builds but this one is my favorite.

JACKHAMMER

That's right no extra heatsinks and a heat ratio of 1.62/2

Edit. Smurfy has the weight wrong, its 50t

The 7k a mech which you can do anything in.

My fav builds for it are as follows.

1 gauss rifle 4tons of ammo, 1 erppc and a xl 280 engine.

One Ac5 two Large pulse leasers. ( gone up to 1000 damage at times with this )

and finally Ac 20 and 2 Med leasers. ( wonder if it would be better then a Wang actually )

Have fun.

Back in the Trebuchet tournament that I placed top 10 in, used almost that exact loadout except I switched 1 AC5 to an AC2 so I could take more ammo.
All in all its a great build.

I made a few tweaks to your loadout. Shaving two points of armor from the head gives you an extra .5 tons for ammo, and if you can afford it, never use an XL275 when an XL280 is available, since they're the same weight.

Yeah very true, problem is PGI throws the XL275 in a lot of mechs so I have several on hand.

I tried that build, one of my other mechs came stock that way, I also tried the dual AC/2s which I run on my BJ-1, just not the same thump as the paired AC/5s.

I might try the AC/5 and dual LPL, they are one of my favorite weapons, I run my Gray Death with Dual LPL 1 lrm10 and 1 lrm5. Wicked medium range back stabber.
