Clans But Not Community Warfare? And You Want Our Money Still

I really, really want to spend money on this Clan technology. The only problem is that I do not really want Clan tech sooner than a better well balanced mech game. I agree that you should make money when you can but seriously can HDPS be fixed a little faster with the Phoenix money than possibly using that money to make more mechs and design them for sale to make even more money. Do not get me wrong investments are good but if there is no community to invest in then you will start sinking.
So here is personal restriction and if others agree and take part it could seem to be a fair trade. When you release UI 2.0, I will spend more money on the Clan package for this game, after Community Warfare is released, I will put even more money into your package. This will also include MC money. I think it is a fair logistic. You progress a bit you profit a bit. This is not a revolt post just one saying that I would rather invest in a flourishing game with depth than one that is less fun to play.

I've spent an inordinate amount of money on this game because, for a while, it reminded me of how much fun I've had playing MechWarrior games over the years. My eyes lit up when I saw that my favorite mech, the Daishi, would be available!
However, I stopped playing ~2 months ago and I haven't had the desire to log in again, despite being a member of a terrific group and pretty much having someone to drop with ~24/7.
I would say the game devolved into Victor 2x PPC + AC20 jump sniping, but I don't think it ever really rose above that, or w/e the meta-flavor-of-the-patch was.
When I opened up mwomercs.com to make this post I was presented with a splash page stating something along the lines of: "The thinking man's shooter!".
If only PGI, if only.
I've managed to make myself sad now.

The question is, do you just ignore the Meta and play anyway, or do you play as a slave to the meta and change up your play style every time a new patch is released.
Hell, even Tabletop Battletech has some meta... which is why I like to avoid customization like the plague. Still, customization is included, and there is meta, so finding the perfect balance regarding the community is highly unlikely.
Still, even with PPCs and Gauss gimped, I will continue to use both. The meta doesn't hold a candle to what I'm hoping to see in regards to being able to play in campaigns, and having factions be worth some effect.
I want CW too, but I figure that this money is going towards exactly that. I'm a Combine player. I only need combine mechs like the Panther, Mauler, Charger, and Hatamoto, but I'm still going to keep supporting the game.
Besides, the longer MWO exists, the better chances I have of finding new Battletech tabletop players. That's my real objective.

All they had to do was make a 20 mission campaign with gameplay mechanics copy-pasted from one or more of the gorillion predecessors. Then make servers players could run and include VOIP and game options into it, and the community would do the rest. (Such as community warfare, community maps, community tournaments, community balancing/stat tweaking)
I'd pay 60 bucks for that package, and easily 15 or 30 for expansions.(Depending on their size)

and then bam, they get more money. It's like putting nostalgia on a string and just tugging it along.

When most of your programmers are spending their time in operations instead of development, I guess you are right but the reality is they should have separate teams...PGI is running a mech development group, and a operations group. Game development is an after-thought

I've been getting back into EVE Online myself. There are also other mech experiences out there, as as the one in my forum sig.
