AC are overpowered compared to lasers and SRM
many players think this way
there are many ways to fix that, like adjusting values or writing new impact detection angle for ac........way too complex
there is 1 easy way
lasers and srms benefit form heat eff more than ac:
simply say that DHS dissipate 1.6 and not 1.4.
all weapons will be advantaged, bur lasers and SRM will be advantaged more
also remove heat penality for mdlasers, move heat penaliti from 2 to 3 for lases, and remove heat penality for srms

Balance program:
SRMS - fix HSR on them and increase speed by 30-40%
All ACs - cut max ranges, make lazors more usable to max ranges
PPC - make them use splash damage, incrase max alpha of 3, put back heat to 9 and 12
Gauss - remove charge up, maybe put 60-90m min range
I think this could work

Fixed that for ya.
Feel free to look at the names in all 50 or so of the "AC OP" threads. You'll see it to be true

Yeah that wat happens when you have 3 weapon systems. Then you break 2 of them and what do you get? Balistics are OP. So the cry for balistic nerf starts and we get another crappy system in place, that makes balistics just as sh'tty as the other weapons.
Or.. i know this sounds crazy.. or.. you could fix the other two weapon systems (mind blown).
