So, when I was picking a pilot name I wanted it to read Lazy the Gypsy however the system claimed that it had already been taken.

However afterward, I did a search of member profiles and there were no members registered with that name...

Explanation? :S

And how would I be able to reserve that pilot name?

I think it just doesn't like spaces in the name.

I've seen quite a few users on the forums with spaces in the name though...

I tried using under scores to see if it would show up as spaces, but in the registration it said that alphanumeric characters and spaces only...

This stupid system permit to register a name without a completed email verification, that is the reason that some names are taken and useless forever. Per example, I had an error typing my email at the time of registration, my pilot name was registered with wrong email and i cant repair it because this guys dont have a customer service email or technical support to reclaim aid. A "Bad guy", an user with evil intentions, can register all names of the world setting non-existent emails, destroying this register phase.

That was probably exactly what happened to me since the first time I registered I couldn't figure out why I never got an email >_>

Hopefully the admins of the site will realize this and add a timed reset of all usernames that never completed regitration...
I.E. If someone does not verify their email in less than a week, the pilot name is up for grabs once again.
