Wouldn't it make sense to advertise any upcoming contests, free premium time giveaway, public test schedules etc show up as "NEWS" on the game launch client screen instead of only on the forums?
I mean seriously I had my razer dice around a month or more before if was advertised on the game client.

It would make sense for most of that to appear in the official forums too, but it doesn't. Twitter and Facebook and such continue to be the best ways to get the most up to date info on the game.
