Hi Guys,

My CTF-IM is my c-bill grinder. I am runnign with 3 x 5UAC and 3 ML's. I am a bit unclear of what modules to use. Right now all I have is advanced zoom. How much does increasing your sensor strength help? Any advice would be welcome.

Advanced Zoom + Seismic Sensor is what I use.

You need the Zoom less since UACs are mid range and most of their effectiveness is lost at long range. Target Info Gathering is very helpful to you so that you can see where the enemy has holes in their armor for you to exploit. Air, Artillery, or seismic sensor would be helpful to you too.

IMO, the best "general package" of modules that will work for just about anything is Target info, coolshot 9x9, and an air or arty strike.

If you want to pass on the consumables, seismic is still pretty good and Advanced sensors works pretty well on just about anything.

I don't like the zoom module with anything but AC2's or ER LL's. The projectile lead time throws me off when using zoom and the larger caliber weapons.

I ran Advanced Sensors on everything for a month, then when I started removing it in favor of something else... I didn't notice it was gone.

Seismic is indeed, still very useful.

I'm completely in love with Advanced Zoom, and it's becoming mandatory for most of my machines. Bear in mind it isn't only useful for long range combat. On Tourmaline and Alpine and such it serves as a perfectly useful telescope. Unless your graphics hardware is kinda gimped, you should be able to see the opposing team long before even the most upgraded sensors catch them.

Arty + air have both achieve a fine state of usefulness, but kinda counterintuitive to put them on your c-bill grinder. (Fun and somewhat effective, but by God they do not make you any money... pluh!)

For a Mastered Ilya, I'd say Advanced Zoom, Seismic, and either Advanced Sensors or Target Info Gathering... probably lean more towards Target Info.

Agreed with jux. Seismic, Adv Zoom and...whatever you like. Several consumables are good options, though less so if making c-bills is your goal.

It seems like some have missed the mark with suggestions of consumables to use while grinding for cbills...

Advanced Sensor range will help you get spotting assists, a Beagle Active Probe also helps in this role.

Target Decay can help you hold targets for a LRM-boat which can give you a larger window to get spotting assists through.

Target Info Gathering can help you to target specific areas to maximize cbills from component destruction. The BaP applies it's bonus here as well.

Seismic Sensor can help you to avoid an ambush, which lets you stay alive to do more damage and make more cbills.

For Cbill grinding I would go with Adv. Sensor Range and Target Info gathering until mastery and then add in the Seismic Sensor. I would also experiment with adding in a BaP and/or a Tag laser for the Mlas on the arm of the Ilya.
