Has Hsr A Hole (A Specific Range) Where It Does Not Work?

I had some matches in the last days of intensive playing and sometimes i feel as if there is a HSR-Hole when you approach Mechs from Medium to Zero Range.

For example my target has its CT exposed and yellow and is not an Assault so i expect to kill it with not more than 2 Hits, maybe 3 if its a bigger Heavy.
While we fight each other i close in and fire several Shots, but its CT stays yellow and it wont die until i put my Barrel onto/into its chest and suddenly it goes boom.

Is there a HSR-Hole somewhere between lets say 1 and 100m ?

Hmmm... HSR doesn't really work well at close range...
I will just say... at 250ms... We have lived with this issue for a long long time...
The faster the target is... The worst it is...

It has been highlight several times too... ;)

Nope - HSR just has a hard time with >100ms pings and high speeds.

High ping Spiders are nigh impossible to hit by aiming at them. Even when they've stopped the server half the time thinks there 10meters somewhere else. Just shoot at the terrain, you'll do better.

Not what PGI advertised though... We need to see how another similar game deals with this issue later.

If THE MECH YOU ARE SHOOTING AT IS 125+ PING AND YOU ARE 50-60 good luck damaging them with anything but streaks. Oh but they always hit you even after you run behind cover because they still see you on their screen. Sounds fair right?

Oh geee.. I wonder how do I play this game at 250ms++ ping...
Why don't you try that sometime... Some of us deal with bad latency to MWO ALL the time regardless who we are shooting at..
Fair right ?

Would seriously tear people a new at 50-60secs with lasers.. I would !
*Too bad they are not really viable at 250ms++ with HSR that doesn't work right.. ;)
