Okay it was stated that DX11 was ready to go and it is going to be released after the holidays,

Patch day is coming up real fast and the holiday season is over

the big question is this:-

Place your bets, i wont except pink slips of mechs, only gold ones lol,

So why do you care about directx11? my understanding they don't expect any visual or speed enhancements.

Direct X11 as implemented by the talented folks at PGI is nothing to get excited over.... it lowered my FPS substantially in the public test server.

DX11 isn't going to change the game in any real noticable way when they implement it, it's only going to allow them to start coding future features utitlising directX11 calls. From what friends have told me about the DX11 on the test server, it actually reduced their fps, not increase it.

Edit: Typo

Dx11 would maybe solve some of the graphical bugs some poeple encounter but do not expect performance wonders.
In the Public Test Dx11 was slower than Dx9 - maybe a tad smoother.

Everything is on schedule, as long as the delivery dates are continually pushed back.

THe clamor for DX11 is much ado about nothing... At best a lynchpin for the PGI detractors to rail on for being tardy.

Once DX11 is implemented, very little will change save actually reducing performance for some people. It'll be a time before PGI can do the API any justice as a lot of art would need to be re-mastered to truly benefit...

Like a lot of stuff, DX11 is most assuredly "NEW"... whether it's ever be "IMPROVED" will not be fully realized for quite some time.

If DX11 brings back my textures on Frozen City/Frozen City Night/sometimes Alpine I will kiss someone's frog (no gay).
