i don't know how they would do it, but DICE does it with all of their battlefield games so i assume it would be possible, unless the entire game is ran off one server and one server alone, but i guess we would need lobbies for that in any case, i'm just throwing what i would want out there thats all

I actually prefer Terra Therma to any of the older map as I've played a lot more matches on each of them than I've played Terra Therma.
Of course I actually know how to manage heat and to not get stuck in a bottleneck so I don't have any problems with the map itself, that always helps.

I really hate Terrible Thermals myself but statistically its one of my better maps...
OP sooner or later the new map comes around don't sweat it. They have promised at some point a voting feature on maps if that actually turns up in game then we may be glad of the extra expertise on a "Disliked" map if the rest of your team wanna go for it.
Keep it random for now PGI - but with equal weighting to all maps. (Read: Tone down Terra Therma by a factor of about 3)

Sorry if I came off as a *********, didn't mean it like that.
Just meant to point out that it would be hard to implement since its trying to match people based on Elo etc. Set maps would suck for some people since I know I would get bored knowing what map was coming.
Also, lore-wise yes you knew what environment you were going to since the trip would likely take months, but since most people only owned one mech (amongst those lucky enough to have one) it wasn't like you had a choice....

The map cycling is absolutely broken, since you essentially get launched into a completely new game every time you go in. There's nothing stopping you from getting the same map every time. We need mapvote, soon. Tired of going evenings where its: Caustic, Therma, Caustic, Caustic, Therma, Tormaline, Caustic.
