Has there been any updates at all to better support sticks? This being a sim, I really do think this needs to be put on top of the list. Specifically the X-52 :) (yes I'm aware of the ridiculous amount of tweaking needed to get this even partially working)

Thanks PGI, looking forward to 2014!

The X52 is working pretty good, but compared to the accuaracy of a mouse, it's not good enough for aiming.
If you are playing with arm-lock on, in slow assault mechs (Stalker, Atlas) or mechs without arm actuators, you can use the joystick quite efficiently, but anything faster is better off with a mouse.

If you want to get your joystick to work properly, there are a lot of posts with configs for MWO and for the Saitek software profile. (search function)

With proper joystick support, stick aiming might be viable.

You need an "absolute" control (Stick 50% left means twisted half way left, not twisting left at half speed) method to make stick aiming viable in MWO.

In programming terms, it would be trivial to add to MWO - however PGI are so clueless when it comes to stuff like this that I would not expect them to realize this or add it any time soon. This is the company that broke binding stuff to mouse wheel about a year ago and has not bothered to fix it. If they cannot even prioritize a 1 hour job like that for the preferred control technique, you have no chance of seeing stick fixes any time soon.

Agreed. They are heavily invested in the Lowest Common Denominator (everyone has a keyboard and mouse), and at this point are probably very reluctant to do something that many might construe as giving the joystick users an 'advantage'.
