There may be numerous threads saying the same thing, but none say it better than this. What a great post to stumble onto first thing in the morning. +1 for the author.

I totally feel the pain. I bought a Dragon Slayer yesterday and jumped back into the game for the first time in many months. I tried to avoid the pop-tart-pin-point-front-end-loaded meta. Taking what you imagine will be a balanced build + being rusty + having zero tech upgrades on the chassis = disaster. I felt like a slow, cumbersome sitting duck. Unable to turn, stop, accelerate or otherwise get out of trouble, unfamiliar with the new maps, forgetting important commands like map function... I was the epic failboat Captain for six matches last night. Sad to admit it, but by the end of the night I found myself jumping up and down on Canyon Network like a whack-a-mole game target... just like practically everyone else with jump jets. /shame

I'd officially like to apologize to my PuGtastic teammates last night, and congratulate all the players who shot up the walking barn door with much glee and laughter! Time to group up this time and ride some coattails in relative mutual protection.
