This is the first build that actually felt good to me with the UAC20. With the reduced jam chance, some luck (though less luck is needed now) and other quirks, this thing is a ridiculous damage pumper at close range.
I included a short video review with the article this time for build demonstration (even though it's a steamroll). Hopefully it'll be more satisfying to read.
After writing an article about LRM boats and suggesting a 4J, I decided to take mine (at the time unelited) for a ride. Three of my friends decided to join the fun and suddenly we were a happy little lurm lance!
After that last video, I received some requests for some tips and tricks for the Locusts. What I set out to make a small post again ballooned up to a monster of a guide. I hope you enjoy! (click on the image)
Truth be told, I burned out soon after I wrote that Locust article for the reasons I stated here. I took a two month break and I simply played something else. WoWs, WT, Dwarf Fortress, Digital Combat Simulator, Fallout: New Vegas . . . I cleared a lot of my backlog and it felt amazing to be playing something else than MWO. During this time the content and fixes for MWO kept accumulating.
As of last week, I regained my appetite and I'm happy to say that I'm truly back. I picked up the Grasshopper and the Zeus and the content is flowing once again:
First, I wrote a Grasshopper review after mastering all three. It's pretty detailed and thorough and I'm sure you'll enjoy the article even if you own the GHR yourself:
Second, changed my gameplay video style a bit and I started commentating on what I was doing/thinking during the matches. Starting with my beloved Grasshopper:
Third, I with the beginning of the Arctic Cheetah season I dusted off my Scumbag Summoner. The results were a lot of animal cruelty coupled with lots of giggles and laughs:
I have a few more things in the pipeline, I hope you enjoy them
