I had the same thought, espacialy the bold parts
And to rais some awareness to this, i made a new toppic...
look here!:

2. Please acknowledge and explain to us why the PP mech's skins are incorrect. Decals and text clearly shown in the concept art is not present. It is possible that this deviation is due to an upcoming decal feature and not part of the skin. Please let us know if this is the case. If not, please correct the PP 'mechs to appear as their concept artwork; with numbers, insignia, and text.

to make me pay twice for stuff i should already owen, no thanks!!
this feels like some real scam
i'll surely wont pay in advance anymore (unless u -the game makers- come up with a good solution)

pls feel free to do the same to show the dev.s what the community wants !!

they ran out of time on the camo for the phoenix mechs. only the locust has camo available other than default and special flame. the designers missed the proverbial boat.

even worse the flame camo has nothing on the back side, and the pheonix variants do not even get the flame camo....

The Project Phoenix mechs aren't all officially released, yet. The Locust gets full access to camos because it's released. Even MC-release mechs like what they did with the Orion, Kintaro, Victor, etc. don't get full camo access until they're released for C-Bills. It didn't surprise me in the slightest that the Shadow Hawk, Thunderbolt, and Battlemaster didn't get all the camos.

Phoenix variants were never intended to get the Hot Rod pattern. They're just like Founders and Hero mechs in that regard.

The Phoenix Variants will always have their own camo you can't change like the Founders camo. I haven't looked at mine since I only played with the Locust so far and I am gonna sell the 2 when I am basic done.

theproblem aint: "no camos like woodland, or urbanblock"

it is: "Decals and text clearly shown in the concept art is not present." like those smal triangels, the writing: talon, etc.

Sorry to dig up an old post. Yet I bought the Phoenix Pack back then and due to a serious PC hardware issue only had now the time to actually start MWO and check what I bought. To make a long story short: I'm disappointed severely by several issues, some minor, some major.

1) I really miss the decals that the artwork phoenix mechs had. It was one big reason why I gave myself a start to buy the whole pack. I just LOVED the complex skins with all those decals and what have we got? Some loveless 3 color skins? Come on.. how hard can it be to actually deliver a few skins the way they were meant to look? I really would like to know if they gonna fix that and provide us the promised skins because if not I will ask for a refund as they haven't provided what they had offered.

2) The colors don't match. You can compare your Phoenix Mechs to the picture below. The artworks colors are lush, the black is strong and the red is actually more of a bright, reddish orange. Even the grey is more full while the actual mech colors all appear "washed-out". Some may like this but once more I rather would have preferred what they promised back then. Honestly.. how hard can that be? Even MS paint offers the option to reproduce the exact color from an artwork via a pipette.

3) What's the sense of the hotrod colors? I understand that the promised flame pattern now is the hotrod pattern and I won't complain about for additional colors (thanks) but I don't get why we've got them. You can say they are pretty much the same colors as the project phoenix black & red. So Hotrod Colors = Project Phoenix Colors = PC Gamer Colors? Anyone else feels taken for a ride? Where's the sense in offering the same colors over and over again, and identical colors even in the same pack? Sorry but that makes Piranha Games appear a bit miserly to me. Like "lol we offer colors as part of a deal to make us appear generous when in fact we just give them the same colors over and over again! - fantastic plan, let's do this!"

4) Sorry but I'm also disappointed about some "unique features". I won't lie that some mechs got cool ones while others ... well honestly.. the Shadow Hawk. That's it? Some wierd baggage porters? I rather doubt that anyone is happy to have that unique looking SH variant.

5) The OP is correct. The size is an issue as it makes you only a bigger target and doesn't fit a medium mech thus breaking the immersion a bit.

In conclusion: With some features I just don't get why Piranha hasn't delivered it even though it wouldn't have been a big deal to them. It makes the pack only appear like some sort of a bluff package where you promise a lot (cool pattern, unique features) when in conclusion it actually is not that great as promised. Now MWO and Piranha bytes already has a hard standing and took a lot of flak in the past so I don't really know why they don't finally stop to pile it on and actually start to deliver higher quality or a bit more then promised so people are rather pleasantly surprised. The feeling I have right now is: "Don't trust Piranha Games offers. Chances are high that they'll only disappoint you".
