Money has been tight, and I didnt pre-order any phoenix mechs (though if I could have just pre-ordered a battlemaster, I would have), and am looking foward for the battlematser cuz its an assault mech that looks pretty dang cool. In my opinion, I especially love the shoulder tank treads.

my question is this; does the "unique geometry" that came with the pre-order battlemasters include those awesome shoulder-treds? When I buy my ragular c-bill variant, will the beast be bare-shouldered?

I believe the unique geometry only applies to the (P) variant of each of the Phoenix Mechs, and that in almost all cases it was a couple of dinky fins and rails. If you see a non P variant of the BM that will be the geometry you will get. If I recall, the unique geometry on the BM wasn't so extreme as to include the shoulder treads.

The non-(P) version of the BLR still have shoulder treads, but they are MUCH less pronounced.

I'm kind of looking forward to sticking 3 AC2s on the 1D. I have my doubts as to its effectiveness compared to my Highlander's ability to jump AND tank damage for free with an entire torso assembly, but it should definitely be fun to run!

Yup and without jump jets it makes sense to prioritize energy weapons first since firing them would expose the least amount of profile to return fire. I just like my 3 AC 2 builds :(

Note that I added a gawd awful color to my (P)'s pattern... you won't get that skin or color on the non-(P) variants!
