1. Having a ton of fun!
2. Holy {Scrap} the learning curve is steep! (even for "old" pros)
3. Previous experience has helped some but still steep!
4. Screwed up spending by bucks and XP on first account, was to excited (big surprise)
5. By and large everyone is really supportive in game
6. Tip, if you might suck for a while pick a complicated call sign, the short easy to type names get almost all the hassle in game
7. I have yet to ask a question in game and not get some great feedback
8. Grinding my XP per mech is soul destroying (welcome to MMO's eh!)
9. Have unlocked elites on two accounts, huge difference
10. I miss the spiral effect of missle launch
11. I cannot hit a light mech to save my life, (ssrm for the win)
12. I have yet to spend any real world cash, but expect to drop 100 bucks during the next 6 months. (cheaper then beer)

A parting note for in gamer trolls:
Nope, were not going to rage quit and uninstall! we can learn to be a better pilots as long as we practice every match, meanwhile you cant become better guys as long as you insist on acting like a buttheads and trolls to new players and learners instead of just making a effort to be cool.
Just think, at the end of 400 matches, we will be pretty good pilots and you will still be ******* if you keep it up.
