I'm constantly taking large amounts of damage to my front center torso when an enemy shoots me full on in the back. I will bug out of a bad fights at times and I'll keep my front put straight away from my enemy and give them only my back.

However I still take large amounts of damage to the front center torso when they hit my back. This is most noticable with lasers. I mean missiles there could be a splash damage ? But not lasers.

Its f'ing annoying to say the least.

If that's happening you really need to submit a report to support@mwomercs.com and post it in the official feedback threads. I haven't run a jenner in a long time so I can't comment but I'm sure if it's bugged there will be plenty more people reporting it as well. The support route is probably going to be the fastest way to get them to look at it

How sure are you its the guys behind you shooting at you?

I play Jenners alot and the CT can be magnet from several angles, but I have not seen rear fire coming through unless you mean the rear armour is gone and the internals are flashing as they are hit?

If they're shooting "over your head", they might be tagging you on the "boom" your head's on, rather than nailing your back armor.

If the enemy has any height advantage in the angle of the attack, the weapons hit you on top of the Jenner's chassis, which still counts as CT front. Only the very rear area of the chassis counts as rear CT.

Also, thinking about your OP.

When I leave a battle going bad I am zigging and zagging and torso twisting as well.

Its not impossible to believe that a lasers could drag across your CT for a moment at the extremes of your positioning, it's a big target after all

As people say, the geometry of the Jenner lends itself to the Front CT being hit from a lot of different angles.

During the 1 v 1 fights where I get outclassed and go to disengage are where I notice it, since I'm sure theres no one near us. So I'm only making this observation when I'm sure no one else has the shot on me.

I'll do the zig zag evasion bit, however if my front is fairly hurt, ill only zig zap with the legs, ill keep my torso pointed away from them to create as little exposure as possible.

The different height thing is a possibility. I will obverse it more. I've felt like the height thing wasnt a factor at times but I'll observe it more closely as I go.

Get a small laser and go on the training grounds see if you can find what is happening. If you can take a video of it and upload it. This is the best way to get it fixed.

What you seem to be experiencing is mainly due to the Jenner geometry, so if you like, you can experiment with front loading armor to 40/04. It's dangerous but it can also give you that extra second sometimes.

You'll also need to judiciously use your Jump Jets to be as unpredictable as possible to make yourself a harder target.

Edit: Also check out this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...x-localisation/ Some images need updating due to recent and ongoing changes to hitboxes, but it's a good starting point to visualize the hitbox sizes.

This isnt just Jenner specific. All mechs have it.

You pummel a mech in the CT till its so red you can almost taste the kill.. he turns around and runs.

You follow him firing lasers or any other weapon into its rear CT...

and you see his front CT indicator blink with every reat CT armor hit..then he suddenly explodes.... while he still has lots of rear armor and your weapons could in no way have punched through the armor in that shot. You even see his bot-corpse tumble down with yellow rear CT armor but the insides blew.
