Oh they better have dropship because I will be damned if I'm sitting watching other players.

Drop ship better be the main territory fight mode or I won't put money into this game. Not if it makes me watch other players, no way. Free to play for 2-3 years all the way and let everyone else pay for the games development. Sue me ;)

I can't believe how many of you are so excited to sit and watch players playing.

I got better things to do with my time than just sit there. Don't even want to know what you all plan to do while waiting. Lets just say I'm not a pervert, I don't like to watch :D

Sounds like you plan on getting killed at the beginning of every match. Its not like it's a new game concept to sit and observe the rest of the match after you're dead.

That......would be so boring :D

well mech shooting is different from human FPS. you'll dead when you're shot 3 times in chest. respawn. dead. respawn. kill the ****, he respawn. that could happen in seconds. in a minute you could rack 10 kills.

not in the mech though. mech could take lots of shot before it goes down and boom. the battle between 1 v 1 mech could take 3-5 minutes at average, depends on your armament and armor. Now, if you spent 5 minutes just to kill an Atlas, then in 10 seconds he respawn right at your back and kill you, that will break the game.

Yeah i actually dont want a respawn, but i dont want something as simple as staring at a map with dots either. Watching the game play out would be the most entertaining option but that can be abused. I guess we have to wait and see :D

it seems to me that dropship mode will be very expensive. repair costs could go through the roof!

It should blow up as big as it did in Mech Assault or like the teaser video. Man that would be freaking awesome!! I'm sure it will be like respawning in the old games like MW4 or something.

Stuff happens. Maybe you got stuck against a coordinated team in a pug and they focus fired you down as a scout in the first five minutes. Maybe you're new and are tryin to learn to be a scout and turned the wrong corner. Maybe you're in an Atlas and you're facin off against someone who is just a bit too good at snipin heads.

Whatever the case may be, if you go down early the penalty should not be you sittin at your desk doin absolutely nothin for 10-15 minutes. No matter what you think on the subject, you have to know that isn't fun. Watchin other people play and have a good time while you get to twiddle your thumbs is not fun. Games that aren't fun don't get played.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still play. I'll still be in my Cicada or Jenner and I'll probably fail spectacularly all the time as I learn the two roles attached to those mechs. However if they want this game to succeed then people like me will be in the minority and the people who will get sick of doin nothin after they die will be the majority. That is, they'll be the majority until they sick of sittin there twiddlin their thumbs or alt tabbin out of a video game (seriously...who the heck thinks thats a good idea?) to watch youtube clips and leave.

Well, I can't find the post right now. But, I did read a Dev post (or maybe in a vid?) that said they don't want matches to last more than 10 to 15 min. and that you don't want to just go charging into the enemy mech's otherewise you'll be doing a lot of watching.

I am hoping for both non-respawn and Dropship types of gameplay.

But, honestly, if your stupid enough to go charging full speed into the enemy group alone and get blown up in the first minute or two. Personally I'll laugh at you. While it maybe a fps, the Dev's want you to use tactics, let the Scouts do their job, let the Commanders do their part with scans and directions, let the Assults go in and blow the hell out of things.

You should be playing as a team and not a free for all. Unlimited respawns and no death consequenses will be like back when I played DoD and people would just rush up and spray and pray and die and rinse and repeat. Then you would have to time matches or point count them. As well as I wouldn't want to imagine the Ammo and Repair cost for that type of play.
