Ok, so, I'm trying to customize a mech here, and I'm running into what looks like an armor allocation bug of some sort. I've got free tonnage and all, and the max armor for the section I'm looking at hasnt actually been reached, but the game is still saying "limit reached". For example, a part might be at 40 out of 48, but it still wont allow it higher. I've tried doing lots of different things just to make certain that I wasnt missing anything, such as lowering a bunch of armor points on other parts to make room for this, but no matter what I do (or what I remove) it has no effect on this.
Now, it's still totally possible I might be missing something. I'm new to this, and the interface is a little... strange. And I'm kinda spacey and airheaded at the best of times. So that's definitely possible. So I figured I'd better ask here and see if anyone can tell me anything about this, or give a workaround or whatever.
The mech I'm currently trying to customize is a Hunchback HBK-4P, if that info helps somehow. Standard type armor.
Thanks in advance.

This most likely isn't the case, but on that off chance.... If what you're looking at is one of the torso's, that max number is divided between front and rear torso armors...

Ahaaaaa......
Yep, that was indeed the problem.
Just yet another occurance of me staring straight at something and not really reading it right, then, haha.
I just knew it was gonna turn out to be something really obvious like that....
I appreciate the quick answer though.

Don't feel bad...I don't want to admit to how long it took me to realize how that limit was determined, since it wasn't automatically clear the front and back was shared

FWIW, it's much clearer in Smurfy. I suggest designing all mechs there and only doing "final assembly" in MWO.
