This often results in the blob crumbling, turning about to focus its entire attention on the tasty little cookie.
Thought process goes along these lines:
Chips ahoy! There goes the cookie into the river. Get it! Murder the cookie!
As the entire team turns about face to get the singular cookie, Snickerdoodles loom over the ridge, ready to strike with their cinnamony goodness. Let me tell you, Snickerdoodles can be tough cookies, but none so tough as the Ginger Snap.
But the reality is, you are the tasty cookie now. The tasty underside of the Oreo, the exposed creamy filling ready to be demolished by the incoming Ginger Snaps and Snickerdoodles. The oreo crumbles in the onslaught and has been preyed upon by the mightier Snickerdoodles and Ginger Snaps. Not even the best Mint Thin or Samoa can brave the onslaught of an entire army of Ginger Snaps.
So, the moral of the story is: If you see a light mech just running around, it is not a tasty cookie, it is a distraction or a scout. The real danger lies over the ridge or around the corner, waiting to pounce on your soft backsides.
Don't chase if you don't have at least a couple of the following
90+ kph
BAP/CAP
SSRMs
LB-X ACs
Pulse Lasers
Or it is you that will crumble, along with your team. Your oreo will be split otherwise, and will be at the mercy of the enemy team.
That's the way the cookie crumbles.
