The recent Dev update mentions that once the European servers are out you will be able to have a one time offer to transfer to them, having said that if I choose to remain on say the US server as an EU player (for the sake of my clan) will I have founder status will all continued benefits if I in the future choose to play on the EU server.
Or is all currency and benefits around the f2p format of the game only going to endorse you on one realm at a time

Okay European players, here is the answer you have been looking for: Yes you can buy the Founders Package and you will never be blocked from continuing to play on the North American servers. Also if we are able to set up servers in your region you will be given a onetime opportunity to transfer to those regions servers taking everything you own with you.

So if you do not take the opportunity to transfer when it is given, then it doesn't happen. So if you stay on the US server for a clan, then later change your mind sounds like you are SOL on getting your info transferred to the EU server.

I'm guessing it can only apply to one account per founder's purchase, and that account can only be on one region's server. Now perhaps you could always create two accounts, buy two founders packages, then transfer only one of them over to EU if you really must have on both.

Cheers for the response guys, I was suspicious that this might be the case I'll just have to think more carefully about where I want to play of course I'd much rather like a more stable ping time on a EU server but with friends mainly playing from the US it'l just be something I'll have to take care of.

How will the one time opportunity work?
Will you have one day to do it, or is it an option for say like a week to go to EU server?

Not being a dev myself I can't say for sure what they mean, but I suspect the "one time" chance means you can make that move, but you can never reverse it. I doubt very much it is a one-day thing, that wouldn't be logical. It could be an offer available for a limited time, but even that seems strange. My guess is more that they don't want people trying to go back and forth, with all of the headache that it would cause between servers located in different physical areas and such.

I'm going to say that when they give you a one-time ticket for a realm transfer, it is probably going to be a credit connected to your game profile. So it should not expire. There is no reason why it wouldn't be a lifetime credit since it will not negatively affect server load if you choose to transfer back to EU servers months or years later.

*Frowns* If they give you an xfer credit with a expiration date, then charge you for an xfer, they will experience torches and 'forks.

I hope you guys are right.
Would suck if you have to work on that day, come home have visitors and your one time opportunity has passed. ;)

They can't have one time period of transfer. That would cause mayhem and upset. What about people on holiday for a month?

Na I think they would need to be crazy to pull anything like that. If they do, I'm out. I'm not spending time or putting money into a game run by mad devs. Had enough of that from Cryptic on STO!!!

All makes sense what you say. I can stop worrying.
We'll see tomorrow or whenever the EU servers are there. ;)
