Thanks PGI for continuously improving the game and providing with additional hero mechs for us to purchase. I will probably pass on this opportunity to save up for my clan purchase later this year.

I never cared for the hunchie, well in tt, lore and looks it has always been a favourite of mine. In mwo I could never be very useful in one, I grabbed the GI because I'm a big fat whale and buy every hero/package.... .. Anyways I really liked it, and my score is pretty good with it. I'm guessing it's because the last time I tried the hunchie was in closed beta, i may have gotten better since then.

As if the hunchback wasn't underpowered enough on its own, you guys had to give the hero mech the worst hardpoint loadout you could think up, AND jack the price up with the excuse of a cockpit trinket? What a joke. We already have other mediums that are significantly faster with jumpjets, so why did you take away the hardpoint advantage of the hunchback as well, giving it only six with one of those being completely useless?

If I ever find a reason to start playing again, however, I will enjoy one shotting this piece of {Scrap} through the side torso since the only people dumb enough to buy it probably wont change out the hilariously awful loadout you guys put in it.

Well its definitely true that I'm disappointed it couldn't have been something more unique, like a hunch with a ballistic in each torso, or one with jump jets instead. The only good thing I can see about this hero is that you can rock the same AC20 3 Medium Laser config as the 4G variant, only you get that a faster torso twist speed which is pretty useful for keeping your hunch protected. That is about the only thing I see as a positive for this hero.

I have basically gotten elite on every Hunch, except the J which I saw as grossly inferior to the SP. Now that I see they reworked the shoulder hump, the J isn't as offensive.

However, I dunno if I can jive 3750 MC for a hero Hunch. The game is doing nothing to encourage lighter mech use, so it's still a very fragile, very light mech. Come Clan XL engines that might be a little safer.

At least it is significantly more useful than the wasted hardpoints on a G. If I were just starting out and didn't have a Founder mech I might take this as an instead.

AND at this point since PGI is basically making up hero mechs, I wish they'd let us submit builds for our own "hero" mech and charge us an MC fee to produce them. They've done enough model work now that it would just be a custom set of hardpoints and no fancy paint.

I think you miss the point Trader..."named" Mechwarrior pilots often had some of the most off-the-wall retart3d schemes for their mech's paint and flavor. The Heavy Metal comes to mind as a Real Honest To God sourcebook hero mech. Some hotshot Hunchback pilot being a sports fan isn't even as silly as the Heavy Metal.

PGI won't release specific team skins because they'd have to pay the NFL a metric fkton of cash.

Yeah, the licensing fees for professional and collegiate sports teams are atrocious, but it would be something that a LOT of people would buy, especially if it wasn't locked into a single mech. For instance, I want my Sooner Schooner!



I would pay a good chunk of money to be able to add that to all of my mechs...

Half the people making this game are worried about selling us things(salesman). This is a un-creative example of that... Trying to cash in ON.... another WELL Liked license by cross promoting during the peak football season. Shameless, uncreative, and I believe this why in the long-term PGI will have less revenue and WE will have a weaker community.. They need to start doing about half the amount of selling... and focus on fundamentals... little blocking and tackling.

Nah, they need to keep focusing on selling product, but put a lot more effort into the marketing of said products. The Clan invasion could have been a HUGE marketing opportunity for them, but instead they just slapped a page together with minimal information and a horrible teaser video and called it good. These hero mechs used to be accompanied by back stories that really made you feel like you were buying a part of history - now they are just mechs with a cbill bonus.

I would have to say that their art department is far beyond amazing, but they need a marketing team badly...

Ha a marketing team?... I agree on the MECH art for sure... BUT they really don't have a game to market yet.....They have to develop a game before they erode their player base... Adding a paid Mech a month to a shell of a game with HALF the amount of maps to Mechs is a bad business strategy... Their revenue per item will be sooo much lower then it could have been. This is because PGI constantly over saturates the market they have created with MC items way too early.. Never mind its dulling down the authenticity of the game.. Personally I would have a Vikings mech but I digress..

And by game ... I mean complete... 2006 Chrome hounds(World map, territory's, Squads, Economy, etc.).... and the customizing in Chrome hounds IS and forever WILL be far beyond what these gentleman could ever do... I just hope I'm wrong, cause I want to be.. But they got a lot of content to develop and that's the only thing that will make me slap down some more benjiis

All I can say is, I want it LOL. I havnt said that about even the Phoenix mechs or Clan mechs, but with alot of Hunchback pilot experience, it makes all the difference. Great Hero mech and colors.

I'm actually quite liking this mech. Ok the XL engine is a pain keeping those side torsos intact, but I can so serious damage in mine. More than most of my other builds, even gets close to my phract 3d. Once it's mastered it should be killer. Had a 3 kill match in one round and that's rare for me.
