I did 5 times more damage than the Raven 2X while my ping was 4 times as high. This proves that light mechs with high pings are OP.

Can someone explain to my why people think that if they cannot hit a player with a high ping that said player can somehow magically hit them with no trouble?

Shouldn't it work both ways?

Uh, even if you have a high ping, other people can still hit you. That's not the issue. The issue is that when a player with high ping leaves cover to shoot at you, you can't react in time.

It does cut both ways, though. The player with high ping, if he comes under attack, also can't react fast enough. He starts to twist/turn/jump/whatever, but the server doesn't get the action until a couple hundred milliseconds later. So on his own screen, it will also look like he's safely turned, or made it into cover, but because of his latency, the server thinks he didn't move fast enough and still got hit.

The solution for *everyone* is to move in an anticipatory way. Don't wait til you see the enemy to react. Always be twisting, turning, stutter stepping, whatever, until you're ready to shoot. Whining about HSR + lag isn't going to change anything, so we gotta adapt how we play.

1. Anecdotal evidence never proved jack ****.
2. any raven pilot worth his salt knows that the 2x is crapptastic and the 3l is king
3. your team was overall stronger, not roflstomp strong, but just looking at the damage numbers you obviously had better aim for the most part. Most newbs think lots of damage makes a pilot, but in reality it`s much more efficient and the sign of a truly capable marksman (not necessarily pilot) to eliminate tas many enemy combatants as possible using as few shots as possible.

And that`s just the tip of the iceberg.. all we have is the EG SS....Record demos of the match and post them to youtube, an endgame screen says almost nothing about the battle encounter. That is why world history doesn`t really care HOW someone won or lost a battle, just whether they did or not.

I'm travelling much. So i have played from many locations, with many internet providers. Didn't have such problems at all (played at 50-450 pings).

It was entirely completely and totally all about how PGI and MWO sucks. I mean like over a hundred pages. And it's Vassago and various other players that have left or quit or etc.

They spend hours bashing PGI and MWO over there lol
