You purchase it only with MC, but does it get the cbill bonus?

It is not a hero mech. It does get a smaller bonus though. The champions are generally better builds than the stock variants out of the box.

That spider is a Champion Mech, they DO NOT get cbill bonuses. They DO get a +10% XP bonus however.

In short, no. Champion 'mechs receive a XP bonus instead of a c-bill bonus but given how quickly you gain pilot XP the bonus is largely pointless in my opinion.

Edit: Ninja'ed by Kanajashi by just a few seconds :P. I'll get you next time Kanajashi, next time...

Believe me you're not the first person to make that mistake nor will you be the last. You can always contact support and ask for a refund. However you are only allowed one refund so think very carefully if this is what you would want to use it on.

If you have just bought it, you might be able to send in a support ticket to see if they will roll back the purchase and restore your MC. support@mwomercs.com

It would be fair to say that you did not understand the champion system before buying.

Edit: well we are even now Anubis :P

So, for future reference, hero mechs are named, while champion mechs are not? Is that how you tell the difference?

Yep!

Champions will have {C} in the variant. Using the () symbols made it into a copyright on the forums. heh.

Yes, they also have unique variant identifiers and by that I mean HBK-GI, CTF-IM, etc. They also have unique paintjobs.

In the mech list when you go to buy mechs, the champions are an orangish color while hero mechs are light yellow. Standard mechs are a yellow-orange color in between.

All champion mechs have a ( C ) in the name and are identical hardpoints (not loadouts) to the standard variant they are based upon (For example, SDR-5K ( C ) is actually the same mech as SDR-5K

Founders mechs have an (F) and Phoenix Premium variants have a (P) appended to the end of the variant. They also have some (minor) geometry differences. Sarah's Mech is designated as JR7-D(S) (It is really a Champion mech with the 10% XP bonus)

There's also the unique paint jobs in almost every case (except Sarah's Jenner, but that's a unique case as a charity for cancer).

Hero mechs are named in the mech lab, in the store and on the field where other mechs are simply "SDR-1V" or what-have-you.

There is not a hero spider just yet. But given the trend in hero mechs, Spiders will get a hero mech within 4 months or less.

Also there's a one time "fix any mistake" for any new player. You can use it for that with the support@mwomercs.com tidbit.

Far as your last question:

Founder mechs have a 25% cbill bonus. This was pretty big as back then there was repair and rearm and no hero mechs.
Phoenix mechs get a 30% cbill bonus just like hero mechs.

Neither the Founder nor the Phoenix mechs get unique hardpoints (loadout slots), which is the biggest selling point for hero mechs.
