QQ are good guys, and from what I've seen, this is a good guide. Check it out, new folks.

Nice one, Jump Jest are for poptarting. You know JJ are great to get a positional advantage over your enemy, to outmaneuver them.

I do glance over that briefly. I tweaked it and added "and outmaneuver the enemy". I felt it was more necessary to stress the advantage of using gravity's free fall vs. the throttle accel-decel on the ground to get back into cover.

I updated the damage dropoff on the pulse lasers. I also fixed a couple mistakes in the pilot lab section.

I added a scary Banshee build candidate for early adopters to try on tuesday and also updated a couple JJ mech builds due to the patch.

I updated the ac2 range on the damage dropoff chart. I also have a new section near the end featuring heimdelight's own build/strat suggestions.

BUMP.

Also, if there's any doubt, let me just put that to rest for you. The OP is a teammate I've seen in action, both casually and competitively. New players would be wise to heed his advice; I'm still learning from watching him.

This guide as a whole literally goes over nearly everything I've learned in MWO, except in text form. It's absolutely fantastic. It also doesn't surprise me because I took up pages 41&42 explaining things I know! I was like, "where have I read this before?"

It also seems to work in sort of chronological order of a player starting as a beginner (the first sections are great for new players), and then going into intermediate (middle sections) and the later sections are more advanced things.

Awesome job Kinetic. It looks awesome, and has one awesome missing piece

I never really got the gist of the game (just run and gun for fun haha!) but this guide helped me a lot in understanding more complex stuff, thanks! :)
